
Akuma-kun is a manga series written and illustrated by Shigeru Mizuki. Several versions of the manga exist, one of which was adapted into a live-action TV show, and another into an anime television series. In addition, two movies were spawned from the anime TV series: Akuma-kun: The Movie released in 1989 and Akuma-kun: Yōkoso Akuma Land e!! released in 1990.

Durarara!! , often shortened to DRRR!!, is a Japanese light novel series written by Ryohgo Narita, with illustrations by Suzuhito Yasuda, that has also been adapted into a Japanese anime series. Durarara!! tells the story of a dullahan working as an underworld courier in Ikebukuro, an internet-based anonymous gang called the Dollars, and the chaos that unfolds around the most dangerous people in Ikebukuro. The series ran for thirteen volumes, published by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki Bunko imprint.

In This Corner of the World is a manga series written and illustrated by Fumiyo Kōno which ran from 2007 to 2009 in Weekly Manga Action. It follows the life of Suzu Urano, a young bride with her new family living on the outskirts of Kure City during the Second World War. It was translated by JManga under the title To All the Corners of the World. After JManga closed, Futabasha published the manga digitally and made it available to read on BookWalker, a digital manga store, and app. It was later licensed by Seven Seas Entertainment for release in North America with the original title. It was adapted into a live-action television special in 2011. An anime theatrical film adaptation was released in 2016. A TV live action series was broadcast on TBS from July to September 2018.

Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan is an Indian television series that aired on MTV India from 21 July 2014 to 31 December 2015. A third season premiered on Voot on 15 May 2018.

Midnight Diner is a 2017 Chinese television series adapted from the Japanese manga series Shinya Shokudō. The series is directed by Tsai Yueh-Hsun and stars Huang Lei as the protagonist. The series aired on 12 June to 30 June 2017 via Beijing TV and Zhejiang TV.

MPD Psycho is a 2000 Japanese six-part horror crime television miniseries based on the manga of the same name and directed by Takashi Miike. It originally aired on 2 May 2000. It has a surrealist bent, and, according to Jim Harper, the author of Flowers from Hell, "bears little similarity to the average made-for-TV detective thriller".

Smoking is a Japanese television series which premiered on TV Tokyo in Japan on Apr 20, 2018, and was released internationally on Netflix on July 27, 2018. The series was created and written by Hajime Gonno, and features Ishibashi Ryo, Nobuaki Kaneko, Maruyama Tomomi, and Yoshimura Kaito.
