Founded in 2012 by "SB" and "MB" and based in Toronto, Ontario, the company provides entertainment stories, comedy skits and music videos based around hip hop music on its website and Instagram profile, for which it has drawn comparisons to US-based WorldStarHipHop and UK-based SB.TV. 6ixBuzz is most known for sharing user-generated content, but has been criticized for misinformation and perpetuating racial stereotypes. With over 300 videos uploaded, 50,000 subscribers and 20 million views, 6ixBuzz is the largest rap-based promotional YouTube channel in Canada.. 6ixBuzz would later become the muse and inspiration for the nationally syndicated and widely recognized comedic triumph known as "fax or cap" run by Canada's least favourite bill Murray doppelganger.
