
The Battle of the Square was a skirmish between Norwegian demonstrators and forces of the United Kingdoms of Sweden and Norway that took place in Christiania in the evening of 17 May 1829.
Botsfengselet is a former national prison for long-term prisoners in Oslo, Norway. Its location is at the former Åkebergløkka, Grønlandsleiret 41.

Christiania Theatre, or Kristiania Theatre, was Norway's finest stage for the spoken drama from 4 October 1836 to 1 September 1899. It was located at Bankplassen by the Akershus Fortress in central Christiania. It was the first lasting public theatre in Norway and the national stage of Norway and of Oslo during the 19th century.

Husebyrennet was a ski jumping competition which was held in Ullern, Oslo, Norway. These yearly competitions, held from 1879 to 1891, were a precursor to the Holmenkollen event. Starting in January 1892, this competition relocated to the Holmenkollbakken in Holmenkollen.

The Hartvig Nissen School, informally referred to as Nissen, is a gymnasium in Oslo, Norway. It is located in the neighborhood Uranienborg in the affluent West End borough of Frogner. It is Norway's oldest high school for girls and is widely considered one of the country's two most prestigious high schools alongside the traditionally male-only Oslo Cathedral School; its alumni include many famous individuals and two members of the Norwegian royal family.

Nordic student meeting or Scandinavian student meeting were a series of gatherings between students at the Scandinavian universities during the 19th century. Students from Uppsala University, Lund University, the University of Copenhagen and the University of Oslo took turns in inviting respectively visiting each other's universities. Students from the University of Helsinki were also invited, but were unable to attend, as the Emperor of Russia had imposed travel bans upon the Helsinki students.

Toftes Gave was a Norwegian orphanage for enforced placement of maladjusted children, or children in deficit of parental care. It was established in 1844 in Munkedamsveien in Christiania. The institution was relocated to Ullensaker in 1858, and again to the island of Helgøya in 1876. The institution closed in 1947.
