
69th Punjab Regiment, also known as "Mardan e Hur" Battalion, is an infantry battalion of the Punjab Regiment of the Pakistan Army. It was raised in May 1990 in Okara Cantt.

Major General Athar Abbas is a former Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations who has been serving as Pakistan's Ambassador to Ukraine since 2015. A two-star general of the Pakistan Army he served as DG of ISPR from January 2008 to June 2012. He retired from active military service after 35 years in June 2012.

He served as a Special Advisor to the Chief Minister of the Punjab. He was once again the Pakistan Peoples Party candidate in the 2008 elections from PP-131.

Korangi Creek Cantonment or Korangi Cantonment is a cantonment town of the city of Karachi, in Sindh, Pakistan. It serves as a military base and residential establishment. It was established by the British Colonial Army in 19th-century British Raj and by Fort Wrigley. Currently, the former local seat of the British Wrigley-Pimley-McKerr family still stands. The Martial Law Administrator of Balochistan was the head of the military regime of Balochistan, the largest province of Pakistan. The capacity was first established when martial law was imposed by General Yahya Khan, who appointed Riaz Hussain to the post, but was never officially ratified. It therefore lapsed when Yahya resigned. The post was officially in operation from July 1977, when martial law was imposed again, until late 1985, when it was informally terminated upon the lifting of martial law by Prime Minister Muhammad Khan Junejo. The martial law administrator was a serving Lieutenant General of the Pakistan Army, appointed by the Chief of Army Staff. General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq was the incumbent in each instance. When the presidential term of Fazal Ilahi Chaudhry ended, the post assumed the political office of Governor of Balochistan; the civilian Chief Justices who were acting as governors of the provinces were replaced by their martial law counterparts. Of the three officeholders, none completed their designated term.

The Mujahid Force is a component of the National Guard of Pakistan, and a paramilitary force of the Pakistan Army established on 9 September 1963 Under the supervision of Major General Raja Sakhi Daler Khan. The Force was raised on the concept of a Territorial Army to support and supplement the regular Army during national emergencies and war. The headquarters are in Bhimber, Azad Kashmir, established in 1992 and given the status of Mujahid Force Center in 2005.

Rawalpindi Cantonment is a large cantonment located in Rawalpindi, Punjab province, Pakistan. The headquarters of the Pakistan Army which are known as the General Headquarters (GHQ) are located in the Rawalpindi cantonment. It is situated on the Grand Trunk Road on Railway Line 1, the main railroad of the country. The town has its own railway station Rawalpindi Railway Station. Initially, Rawalpindi cantonment was the only one in Rawalpindi city and the largest in Pakistan. However, this was one of the most poorly managed cantonments and it was facing administrative challenges due to its size, area and population. Therefore, during General Pervez Musharraf's era, Rawalpindi cantt. was split into Rawalpindi Cantonment and Chaklala Cantonment. The northern and eastern parts of the city around the airport were included in Chaklala cantt, while the western and southern parts of Rawalpindi cantonment remained as is.

Lieutenant Colonel Ghulam Hussain Chaudry or Ghulam Hussain Chaudry Shaheed, HJ, born in 1926, was a Pakistan Army officer who received the Hilal-i-Jurat for his service in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. He graduated from the Pakistan Military Academy as part of the 6th PMA, barely three years after the formation of Pakistan as an independent state. He was awarded the second most honorable and prestigious award in Pakistan, the HJ, which is awarded to officers for "acts of valor, courage or devotion to duty performed on land, at sea or in air." He was fatally wounded in the Pakistan/India war of 1971. The Pakistan/India border near Kasur, Pakistan is named in his honor.

The Sind Regiment is an infantry regiment of the Pakistan Army established on 1 July 1980. Prior to this date there had been no regiment in the Pakistan Army specifically intended to recruit primarily from the Sindhi population. It was created by the transfer of eleven battalions of The Punjab Regiment and ten battalions of The Baloch Regiment. Eight additional battalions were raised in the period from 1988 to 1999. After 1989 the proportion of actual Sindhis in the Regiment was increased to over 50%. The Sind Regimental Centre is located in Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan.
