WWilliam Joseph Toti is a retired US Navy captain, writer, photographer and corporate executive. He is currently president and Chief Executive Officer of Sparton Corporation. Toti was the final captain of the Los Angeles-class submarine USS Indianapolis (SSN-697). He also served as commodore of Submarine Squadron 3 in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and is known for his role in the exoneration of the captain of the World War II cruiser USS Indianapolis (CA-35), Charles B. McVay III.
WThe "tourist guy" was a hoax that featured a digitally altered photograph of a tourist on the observation deck of the World Trade Center, supposedly on the day of the September 11 attacks, showing a plane about to hit the tower in the background. The photo became an Internet phenomenon as many manipulated pictures spread online. The man in the photograph was identified as Hungarian Péter Guzli, who took the photo in 1997. WWindows on the World was a complex of venues on the top floors of the North Tower of the original World Trade Center complex in Lower Manhattan. It included a restaurant called Windows on the World, a smaller restaurant called Wild Blue, a bar called The Greatest Bar on Earth, and rooms for private functions. Developed by restaurateur Joe Baum and designed initially by Warren Platner, Windows on the World occupied 50,000 square feet of space in the North Tower. The restaurants opened on April 19, 1976, and were destroyed in the September 11 attacks.
