The Air Mobility Rodeo was a biennial, international airlift competition hosted by the United States Air Force Air Mobility Command. AMC gathers wings from active duty, reserve, and Air National Guard units from across the United States and around the world to test and improve tactics in a competitive environment. In this environment units are able to demonstrate capabilities, improve procedures, compare notes, and enhance standardization for global operations.

The Canadian Army Trophy (CAT) was a tank gunnery competition established to foster excellence, camaraderie and competition among the armoured forces of the NATO countries in Western Europe.

The Erna Raid was an annual international military exercise and competition, one of the longest and most difficult in the world, held every August from 1995 to 2011 in Estonia. It was organised by the Erna Society and commemorates the actions of the long-range reconnaissance group 'Erna' in the summer of 1941.

The International Fincastle Competition is a contest of skills between the air forces of the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. During the competition, crews compete in anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, and intelligence and surveillance gathering.

The NATO Tiger Association or the Association of Tiger Squadrons was established in 1961. Promoted by French Defence minister Pierre Messmer, its role is to promote solidarity between NATO air forces. It is not, though, part of the formal NATO structure.

The Strong Europe Tank Challenge (SETC) was an annual, multinational tank platoon competition held since 2016 at Grafenwöhr Training Area, Germany, and hosted by the U.S. Army Europe and the German Army.

The Swiss Raid Commando was a military competition. It was discontinued after the 18th edition in 2009 due to economic constraints. The competition's motto was "Vouloir, Croire et Oser".
