Like the previous Avatar: The Last Airbender games, it was developed by THQ Studio Australia and published by THQ. It received mixed reviews, with many critics calling it an improvement over the movie. This is the second Nickelodeon video game to be rated T for Teen by the ESRB after The Ren & Stimpy Show: Time Warp. An Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable and Windows was planned, but cancelled.
