Case Closed, also known as Detective Conan , is a Japanese detective manga series written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama. It has been serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday since January 1994, and has been collected into 98 tankōbon volumes as of April 2020. Due to legal problems with the name Detective Conan, the English language releases from Funimation and Viz were renamed to Case Closed. The story follows the high school detective Shinichi Kudo who was transformed into a child while investigating a mysterious organization and solves a multitude of cases while impersonating his childhood best friend's father and other characters.

The series is serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday since February 2, 1994. It was adapted into an anime series produced by Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation (YTV) and TMS Entertainment where it premiered on YTV. The first episode premiered on January 8, 1996. It is currently ongoing and numbers over 800 episodes, making it the eleventh longest running anime series. The anime spun off twenty animated featured films.

The majority were encapsulated into the 71st volume which became the 21st best selling manga in the first half of 2011.
