Bowser or King Koopa, is the main antagonist character of Nintendo's Mario franchise. In Japan, the character bears the title of Daimaō . In the United States, the character was first referred to as "Bowser, King of the Koopas" and "the sorcerer king" in the instruction manual. Bowser is the leader of the turtle-like Koopa race and has been the archenemy of Mario since his first appearance, in the 1985 video game Super Mario Bros.

Charizard, known in Japan as Lizardon , is a Pokémon in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise. Created by Atsuko Nishida, Charizard first appeared in the video games Pokémon Red and Blue and subsequent sequels. They have later appeared in various merchandise, spinoff titles and animated and printed adaptations of the franchise. It is known as the Flame Pokémon. Shin-ichiro Miki, the actor who voices James in the original Japanese version of the Pokémon anime, voices Charizard in both the Japanese and English-language versions of the anime. An orange, draconic Pokémon, Charizard is the evolved form of Charmeleon and the final evolution of Charmander. It also has two Mega Evolved forms, Mega Charizard X and Y, that were likely both designed by Tomohiro Kitakaze, the designer of Mega Charizard X, are not permanent and always revert to the normal Charizard form. It also has a single Gigantamax form, which changes both its appearance and size for 3 turns, until it is knocked out, until it is returned, or until the battle ends.

A Hoshidan prince/princess raised in Nohr, they are the center of a stirring conflict between the two nations and forced to decide which one to join. Corrin acquired more widespread international attention after being publicized through their playable appearances in Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. series of fighting games.

Flemeth is a fictional character in BioWare's Dragon Age franchise. She first appears in the 2009 novel The Stolen Throne as the Witch of the Wilds, a notorious sorceress who resides in the Korcari Wilds region within the Kingdom of Ferelden in the world of Thedas, and provides conditional aid to the novel's main characters when they pass through the Wilds. Her first video game appearance is Dragon Age: Origins, which is set several decades after the events of The Stolen Throne, and again aids the story's protagonists. She is voiced by American actress Kate Mulgrew for all media.

Giratina is a Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise. Giratina first appeared in the video games Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, but gained prominence in the sister game, Pokémon Platinum, in which it is the mascot and a major part of the storyline. It later appeared in various merchandise, spinoff titles and animated and printed adaptations of the franchise. Giratina is featured prominently in the film Giratina and the Sky Warrior, and later appears in the films Arceus and the Jewel of Life and Pokémon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages.

Created by Ken Sugimori, Gyarados first appeared in the video games Pokémon Red and Pokemon Blue and subsequent sequels, later appearing in various merchandise, spinoff titles and animated and printed adaptations of the franchise. Gyarados is voiced by Unshō Ishizuka in both Japanese and English media. Known as the Atrocious Pokémon, Gyarados is the evolved form of Magikarp, well known for its fierce temper and reputation for causing nothing but destruction so much so that once it has worked itself into a frenzy, it will not calm down until everything around it has been destroyed.

Latias and Latios are Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise. Created by Ken Sugimori and solely based on traditional European dragons but with the added features of jet powered aeroplanes as he states in a number of interviews, Latias and Latios first appeared as central characters in the film Pokémon Heroes, and later appeared in the video games Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, also appearing in various merchandise, spinoff titles and animated and printed adaptations of the franchise. They are voiced in Japan by Masashi Ebara and Megumi Hayashibara respectively.

Lugia is a Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise. Created by Takeshi Shudo and drawn by Ken Sugimori, Lugia was the central character of the film Pokémon: The Movie 2000. It later served as the version mascot of the video game Pokémon Silver and its remake, Pokémon SoulSilver, appearing both on the box art and in-game. It also appeared in the Pokémon anime, various merchandise, spin-off titles and printed adaptations of the franchise, such as Pokémon Adventures. In animated appearances, Lugia is voiced in Japanese by Koichi Yamadera, and by Eric Rath in the English dub.

Rayquaza is a Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise, appearing in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire and subsequent sequels, later appearing in various merchandise, spinoff titles and animated, printed and film adaptations of the franchise. It is a legendary Pokémon. Rayquaza is the version mascot of Pokémon Emerald. It is also the master of the Weather Trio, which contains Kyogre, Groudon and itself. It is known for being one of the strongest Pokémon in the franchise, since it is able to Mega Evolve and hold an item at the same time. This, together with the fact that Mega Rayquaza has the highest base stat total of all Pokémon, led to it being the only Pokémon to be banned from the community-selected Uber tier.

Ridley, also known by his aliases Geoform 187 and The Cunning God of Death, is a fictional character and one of the main antagonists of the Metroid series. A draconic extraterrestrial hailing from the planet Zebes, he became Samus Aran's archenemy after leading a Space Pirate raid on her homeworld that killed her parents. Though having been destroyed numerous times by Samus, he is always resurrected, due in equal part to Space Pirate engineering and his natural regenerative ability, which allows him to swiftly recover from what would otherwise be fatal wounds as long as he is able to consume enough biomatter from his fallen adversaries.
