
"2Fort" is a multiplayer map for the first-person shooter games Quake World Team Fortress, Team Fortress Classic and Team Fortress 2, and for the multiplayer total conversion modification Fortress Forever. Consisting of two similar buildings separated by a short bridge and a moat, each team must fight their way into the opposing team's building and capture their flag/intelligence from an underground base concealed beneath. A launch map for Team Fortress 2, 2Fort was critically praised as an iconic map for the series and one of the best first-person shooter maps of all time.

"All Ghillied Up" is a level in the 2007 first-person shooter video game Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and its remastered version, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered (2016). Set in Pripyat, Ukraine in 1996, the player assumes control of then Lieutenant Price and is assisted by their superior Captain MacMillan. The player may deal with enemies stealthily, overtly, or avoid engaging them altogether.

Anor Londo is a fictional city in the Dark Souls series of action role-playing games. Appearing in both Dark Souls and Dark Souls III, it is the seat of the power of the gods, deities of the Dark Souls world who used the power of the First Flame to destroy the Everlasting Dragons that once controlled it. By the time of Dark Souls, however, it has become an abandoned lost city, as Lord Gwyn had long since sacrificed himself to rekindle the fading First Flame. Anor Londo has been cited by critics for its design as well as the level's high difficulty, including a section guarded by two powerful archers, and the level's final boss duo, Ornstein and Smough.

Blood Gulch is a multiplayer map in the first-person shooter Halo video game series. It first appeared in Halo: Combat Evolved, and was remade for Halo 2 as "Coagulation", as well as for Halo: Reach as "Hemorrhage" and Halo: The Master Chief Collection as "Bloodline". It also had spiritual successors in Halo 3's "Valhalla", in Halo 4 and Halo Wars as "Ragnarok", and in Halo 5's "Basin". Taking place in a canyon on the Halo ringworld that resembles the American Southwest, it was designed for the Capture the flag game mode but can also be used for other modes, such as deathmatch. Blood Gulch was one of Halo's most critically acclaimed and influential multiplayer maps, and played a significant role in the machinima series Red vs. Blue.

The cat hair mustache puzzle is a puzzle in the 1999 adventure game Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned. The puzzle's name is owed to the use of cat hair as a fake mustache, which protagonist Gabriel Knight uses as part of a disguise in order to steal a man's motorcycle rental. The puzzle was created by the game's producer, Steven Hill, following a puzzle being worked on by the game's lead designer, Jane Jensen, having to be cut due to budgetary reasons. The designers disliked the puzzle, but because of time constraints, it had to be left in.

The Citadel is a fictional space station and megastructure in the Mass Effect franchise of video games developed by BioWare. An ancient station supposedly constructed by the long-dead Protheans, it serves as the hub of interstellar politics and society in the Milky Way galaxy due to its status as the capital of the Citadel Council, the dominant galactic polity within the Mass Effect universe. The Citadel was praised by critics for its design, lore, and the diversity of its inhabitants enhancing the game world.

Super Mario Sunshine is a 2002 platform action-adventure game developed and published by Nintendo for the GameCube. It is the second 3D game in the Super Mario series, following Super Mario 64 (1996). The game was directed by Yoshiaki Koizumi and Kenta Usui, produced by series creators Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka, written by Makoto Wada, and scored by Koji Kondo and Shinobu Tanaka.

The secret cow level, or simply the cow level, is a level featured in the action role-playing hack and slash dungeon crawler video game series Diablo, developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. It first appears as postgame content in 2000's Diablo II, where it is officially known as the "Moo Moo Farm". Players may access the level after collecting a special combination of items to conjure a portal leading to the level. The player character is confronted upon arrival by a large horde of armed anthropomorphic cows led by a boss character called the "Cow King".

"Dust II", also known by its filename de_dust2, is a video game map featured in the first-person shooter series Counter-Strike. Dust II is the successor to "Dust", another Counter-Strike map, and was developed by David Johnston prior to the official release of the original Counter-Strike game. It was designed with the aims of simplicity and balance, based on its symmetrical design and two points, for which the two teams must fight over for control.

"Effect and Cause" is the fifth level in the 2016 video game Titanfall 2. It features a unique gameplay mechanic which allows the player to shift back and forth in time between the level's dilapidated present-day state and its functioning past state. It was created by the senior designer of Titanfall 2, Jake Keating, who was inspired to implement the time travel mechanic in part after watching the History Channel series Life After People. Keating originally intended to use the concept for the first Titanfall, but the designers did not have the time to implement it.

Facing Worlds, also known by its filename CTF-Face, is a multiplayer map for the first-person shooter video games Unreal Tournament (1999), Unreal Tournament 2003, Unreal Tournament 2004, Unreal Tournament 3, and Unreal Tournament (2014). Consisting of two identical towers separated by a bridge, each team must fight their way into the opposing team's tower and capture their flag. The original Unreal Tournament version of Facing Worlds received critical acclaim, and is widely regarded as one of the best first-person shooter maps of all time.

The Goat Puzzle, also known as The Infamous Goat Puzzle, The Infamous Goat, The Wretched Goat, The Goat of Lochmarne, or simply The Goat, is a puzzle featured in Revolution Software's 1996 point and click adventure game Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars. In the puzzle, protagonist George Stobbart must gain access to an underground dig located in a castle in Lochmarne, Ireland, by avoiding getting butted by a fierce goat. It is often explained to be difficult due to challenging the player in a way different from previous puzzles in the game. It is also noted by many gamers and various publications as one of the hardest video game puzzles of all time. The puzzle was simplified in The Shadow of the Templars' 2009 director's cut.

Green Hill Zone or simply Green Hill is the first level of the platform game Sonic the Hedgehog, which released for the Sega Genesis in 1991. The level is grassy and lush, with environmental features such as palm trees, vertical loops and cliffs, and is the home of numerous forest animals. Like the game's other levels, Green Hill comprises 3 acts; in the third, Sonic fights antagonist Robotnik before moving to the second level, Marble Zone. It was constructed by level designer Hirokazu Yasuhara and its musical theme was created by Masato Nakamura.

Half-Life 2: Lost Coast is an additional level for the 2004 first-person shooter video game Half-Life 2. Developed by Valve, it was released on October 27, 2005, through the Steam content delivery service as a free download to owners of the Windows version of Half-Life 2. Lost Coast serves as a technology demonstration, specifically showcasing the high-dynamic-range rendering implemented in the Source engine. The level was designed with a variety of appropriate environments to emphasize these effects. Lost Coast was the first video game developed by Valve to allow developers to explain various elements of design as the player progresses through the level.

Kamurochō is a fictional district of Tokyo from Sega's Ryū ga Gotoku media franchise, known internationally as Yakuza. It is modelled after Kabukichō, Tokyo's renowned red-light district and entertainment precinct situated in Shinjuku ward. Like its real world counterpart, there are many retail shops, izakaya, restaurants, and mizu shōbai establishments like host and hostess clubs, soaplands, and nightclubs within the district. Kamurochō has appeared as the primary setting in all Yakuza main series titles and several spin-off games, as well as adaptations of the franchise in other media.

Mass Effect: Pinnacle Station is a downloadable content (DLC) expansion pack developed by Demiurge Studios on behalf of Mass Effect franchise creator BioWare and published by Electronic Arts for the 2007 action role-playing video game Mass Effect. Pinnacle Station was released for the Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows on August 25, 2009. The pack follows a squad led by Commander Shepard as they undergo special operations training on Pinnacle Station, a concealed military training facility.

Midgar is a fictional city from the Final Fantasy media franchise. First appearing in the 1997 video game Final Fantasy VII, Midgar is depicted as a bustling metropolis occupied and controlled by the fictional megacorporation Shinra Electric Power Company (神羅). The city is powered by electricity drawn from reactors which run on "Mako", the processed form of spiritual energy forcibly extracted by Shinra from beneath the surface of the planetary world in which the Final Fantasy VII metaseries takes place. Shinra's activities drain the world of its life force, the "Lifestream", threatening the existence of all life as the planet weakens.

"Milkman Conspiracy" is a level in the 2005 video game Psychonauts. It is a world that takes place in the mind of Boyd Cooper, a paranoid security guard of an asylum, which the protagonist Raz explores. The area has unusual gravity, causing Raz to be pulled towards different roads when he is near and walking at unusual angles. Multiple games have been compared to this level, including Jazzpunk, We Happy Few, and Super Mario Galaxy.

"No Russian" is a controversial mission in the 2009 video game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and its remastered version, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered. In the level, the player can participate in a mass shooting at a Russian airport. "No Russian" is noticeably more graphic than any other level in the game. The player is not forced to shoot anyone, however, and may skip the level altogether without penalty. The plot of "No Russian" revolves around undercover CIA operative Joseph Allen, who attempts to gain the trust of a Russian terrorist named Vladimir Makarov.

The Normandy-class SR are two fictional spacecraft in the Mass Effect video game franchise. She first appears in Mass Effect as the SSV Normandy SR-1, the product of a joint venture between the human Systems Alliance and the Turian Hierarchy, and described as the most advanced military infiltration starship in the galaxy within the series. An improved version of the ship known as the Normandy SR-2, though no longer a commissioned spaceship of the Alliance Navy, is later constructed by the anthropocentric paramilitary organization Cerberus and appears from Mass Effect 2 onwards. Both iterations of Normandy have Jeff "Joker" Moreau as the pilot in command, while the SR-2 is integrated with an artificial intelligence entity known as EDI. She functions as the primary means of transport and base of operations for the player, in the role of Spectre Commander Shepard, and their crew, as they travel throughout the Milky Way and fight hostile aliens such as the Reapers.

"The Silent Cartographer" is the fourth level in the first-person shooter (FPS) video game Halo: Combat Evolved. Taking place on the Halo ringworld, it follows the Master Chief and a group of UNSC Marines as they wage a daytime beachfront assault on the Covenant alien race in search of an ancient Forerunner installation known as The Silent Cartographer.

The Water Temple is an area from the 1998 Nintendo 64 video game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It is the sixth dungeon encountered in the game. It was created by Ocarina of Time director Eiji Aonuma, who was inspired by his love of diving. It has players raising and lowering water levels to access different areas while utilizing a pair of Iron Boots to sink to the bottom. The difficulty of navigation combined with the cumbersome nature of using the Iron Boots led to several changes to the dungeon to assist players in the 2011 remake of Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. The difficulty players faced also caused Aonuma to apologize for the issues, while noting that the dungeon was not difficult so much as it was frustrating. Despite the criticism, some critics have been more forgiving, praising the Water Temple for its complexities.

World 1-1 is the first level of Super Mario Bros., Nintendo's 1985 platform game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. The level was designed by Shigeru Miyamoto to be a tutorial for new players, orienting them to platform jumping and to the rest of the game. World 1-1 is one of the most iconic video game levels and has been widely imitated and parodied.

Yharnam is a fictional city that is the primary setting of Bloodborne, an action role-playing video game developed by FromSoftware and directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki. Heavily featuring Gothic Revival architecture, the city was founded by and experienced rapid growth thanks to an organization known as the Healing Church. The Church, which discovered miraculous, occult blood in ancient catacombs beneath the city that could cure any illness, drew many people to Yharnam from across the land. It encouraged rampant xenophobia, with its residents resenting and mocking "outsiders". However, the use of the ancient blood had unintended consequences, as it began to indiscriminately transform those who possessed it into beasts, a plague that the Church attempted to suppress. Despite this, a phenomenon known as the Blood Moon brings about the city's downfall. When the player encounters Yharnam, most of its surviving inhabitants are either in hiding or already becoming beasts.
