0 A.D. is a real-time strategy video game under development by Wildfire Games. It is a historical war and economy game focusing on the years between 500 BCE and 1 BCE, with the years between 1 CE and 500 CE planned to be developed in the future. The game is cross-platform; playable on Windows, macOS, Linux, FreeBSD, and OpenBSD. It is composed entirely of free software, and free media, using the GNU GPLv2 license for the game engine source code, and the CC BY-SA license for the game art and music.

Players control Reza Shirazi, an aspiring photojournalist, who returns to Iran amidst the Iranian Revolution. As he becomes more involved in the events of the Revolution, Reza is forced to make decisions in order to survive. Players make timed responses throughout the game, determining the outcome of the plot. They are tasked with taking in-game photographs of their surroundings, and given historical background of the events.

The expansion pack also gives the player two more campaigns which are in fictional based areas, fighting the renegade general Haatim Jaareah Kalb in the deserts of Iran and the elusive drug lord Antonio Paulo in the jungles of Colombia. The main difference from the original is the difficulty, with fewer saves and longer levels.

Mir-Mahna is a computer game based on the life of Mir Mahna, an Amir of Kharg, Iran who successfully fought against Dutch colonial forces in Iran during the 1740s reign of Nader Shah. Introduced in August 2010 at Gamescom 2010, Mir-Mahna officially was released in Tehran, Iran in February 2011 and it was supported by Iran Computer and Video Games Foundation. Mir-Mahna is the first Iranian game about the life of a contemporary Iranian hero and the second game after "Garshasp Gorz-e-Serit" to focus on Iranian heroes. The game story line was based on a series of books entitled, "On the Red Marine Roads" by Nader Ebrahimi, an Iranian writer, screenwriter, photographer, director and actor. By using traditional Iranian music with modern computer motion capture, the game designers sought to introduce Iranian culture and civilization worldwide. This was part of a larger effort by the Iranian government to use computer games to help convey its culture.

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within is an action-adventure video game and sequel to Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Warrior Within was developed and published by Ubisoft, and released for GameCube, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 2 and Xbox. It picks up where The Sands of Time left off, adding new features, specifically, options in combat. The Prince has the ability to wield two weapons at a time as well as the ability to steal his enemies' weapons and throw them. The Prince's repertoire of combat moves has been expanded into varying strings that allow players to attack enemies with more complexity than was possible in the previous game. Warrior Within has a darker tone than its predecessor adding in the ability for the Prince to dispatch his enemies with various gory finishing moves. In addition to the rewind, slow-down, and speed-up powers from Sands of Time, the Prince also has a new sand power: a circular "wave" of sand that knocks down all surrounding enemies as well as damaging them. The game was generally well received with the praise being directed towards the newly introduced combat system and the soundtrack.

In the game, players control Sam Fisher, a spymaster working for the Fourth Echelon, in a mission to stop the Engineers, a group of terrorists which is trying to coerce the United States into recalling all of its troops stationed abroad. Blacklist's gameplay is similar to its predecessors, with players tasked with completing objectives and defeating enemies. Blacklist marks the return of the asymmetrical multiplayer mode Spies vs. Mercs, which was introduced in Pandora Tomorrow.
