The manga is by Yumi Tsukirino and serialized by Shogakukan in the manga magazine Ciao, and collected in ten bound volumes. The series is not based on any particular video game, and it is the first shōjo Pokémon manga series released in the United States. The original Japanese title "PiPiPi" refers to Purin, Pippi, and Pikachu, the respective Japanese names of Jigglypuff, Clefairy, and Pikachu.

Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Adventure! is a Pokémon manga based on Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. The series is written and illustrated by Shigekatsu Ihara and published by Shogakukan. All eight volumes have been translated into English, and released in North America by Viz Media. Viz Media's translation was licensed by Singapore publisher Chuang Yi, who have released all eight volumes as well, with the first volume of Chuang Yi's version being released two years after Viz Media's version.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Ginji's Rescue Team is a 6-part manga based on the video games Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team and Red Rescue Team that first appeared in Japan's CoroCoro Comic in the fall of 2005. Its English language translation was released in Nintendo Power from the September 2006 issue to the February 2007 issue, presented in the same right-to-left format. After the manga's last volume, Viz Media released the entire English translation of the serial in one book.

Pocket Monsters RéBURST is a Japanese shōnen manga series created by Jin Kusude and collaboration with Mitsuhisa Tamura, based on the Pokémon franchise by Nintendo and Game Freak. The manga was first serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday magazine on March 9, 2011 and ended in October 10, 2012, compiled into eight volumes. The manga departs from the original series, with having a more serious storyline and the characters to become fighting Pokémon gijinkas using an ability called Burst.

The Pokémon Graphic Novel, more commonly known as Pokémon: The Electric Tale of Pikachu is a Japanese manga series created by Toshihiro Ono and serialized in the Children's manga magazine CoroCoro Comic. Individual chapters were collected into four tankōbon volumes by Shogakukan, who released the first volume on October 28, 1997 and the fourth volume on January 28, 2000. The characters and storylines are all drawn from the Pokémon anime series, although some events and depictions of characters diverge slightly from the anime, and the world itself has a visibly higher level of technology.
