
The Balta Mică a Brăilei Natural Park is a protected area which is situated in Romania, in Brăila County, on the administrative territory of communes Berteștii de Jos, Chiscani, Gropeni, Mărașu and Stăncuța.

Bistreț is a commune in Dolj County, Oltenia, Romania with a population of 4,616 people in 2002. It is composed of four villages: Bistreț, Bistrețu Nou, Brândușa and Plosca.

Lake Bugeac, also known as Lake Gârlița, is a lake in Northern Dobruja, Romania. It is located in a calcareous depression near the Danube, the water exchange with the latter being regulated by a weir.

The Ceahlău Massif is one of the most famous mountains of Romania. It is part of the Bistriţa Mountains range of the Eastern Carpathians division, in Neamţ County, in the Moldavia region. The two most important peaks are Toaca and Ocolaşul Mare. It is bounded to the east by the Bistriţa River and Lake Bicaz, to the south by the Bicaz River. From the south, the main access point is the village of Izvorul Muntelui, located 12 km north from the town of Bicaz. To the north, Mount Ceahlău is also accessible from Durău.

Comana is a commune in Giurgiu County, Muntenia, Romania. It is composed of five villages: Comana, Vlad Țepeș, Budeni, Falaștoaca and Grădiștea. The commune is approximately 32 kilometers south of Bucharest.

The Danube Delta is the second largest river delta in Europe, after the Volga Delta, and is the best preserved on the continent. The greater part of the Danube Delta lies in Romania, with a small part in Ukraine. Its approximate surface area is 4,152 km2 (1,603 sq mi), of which 3,446 km2 (1,331 sq mi) is in Romania. With the lagoons of Razim–Sinoe, located south of the main delta, the total area of the Danube Delta is 5,165 km2 (1,994 sq mi). The Razim–Sinoe lagoon complex is geologically and ecologically related to the delta proper and the combined territory is listed as a World Heritage Site.

Șagu is a commune in Arad County, Romania, is situated on the Vingăi Plateau and it stretches over 10266 hectares. It is composed of five villages: Cruceni, Firiteaz (Féregyház), Fiscut (Temesfűzkút), Hunedoara Timișană and Șagu.

The Vrancea Mountains are a mountain range in the Curvature Carpathians of eastern Vrancea County in Romania. The 1977 Vrancea earthquake had its epicentre there.
