It was directed by Matthew O'Callaghan, written by Ken Kaufman and produced by Ron Howard, David Kirschner, and Jon Shapiro. Featuring the voices of Will Ferrell, Drew Barrymore, David Cross, Eugene Levy, Joan Plowright, and Dick Van Dyke, it follows the Man with the Yellow Hat, a tour guide at a museum, as he befriends a curious monkey named George and going on adventures with him around the city.

It is the first book in the Curious George series and it tells the story of an orphaned chimpanzee named George and his adventures with the Man with the Yellow Hat. As of May 1, 2021, it has sold over 25 million copies, and has been translated into various different languages such as Japanese, French, Afrikaans, Portuguese, Swedish, German, Chinese, Danish, and Norwegian. It is also in the Indie Choice Book Awards Picture Book Hall of Fame and has been the subject of scholarly criticism.

Curious George is an American animated children's television series based on the children's book series of the same name which features Jeff Bennett as the voice of The Man with the Yellow Hat. Frank Welker, who voiced George in the 2006 feature film, returns as the voice of him. The show premiered on PBS Kids on September 4, 2006, and originally ended after nine seasons on April 1, 2015 before making a return in 2018 after a 3 year hiatus. The series takes place in the same continuity as the 2006 film of the same name, although some of the characters including the Bloomsberry family, Maggie, and Ivan are not present.

Curious George is a 2006 platform game published by Namco, and developed by Monkey Bar Games, a division of Vicious Cycle Software. It was released for the GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Microsoft Windows, and is based on the 2006 film of the same name. A separate 2D version was developed for the Game Boy Advance (GBA) by Torus Games. Most of the animated film's original voices were not used in any of the in-game dialogue, except for the cutscenes; however Frank Welker and David Cross reprise their roles as Curious George and Junior respectively.
