Joan T. Burke was an Irish Fine Gael politician, farmer and nurse. She was first elected to Dáil Éireann as a Fine Gael Teachta Dála (TD) for the Roscommon constituency at the July 1964 by-election caused by the death of her husband James Burke. Her victory made her the first woman to ever represent County Roscommon as a TD, and she was only the fourth woman to represent Cumann na nGaedheal/Fine Gael since the foundation of the state. Burke topped the poll in every single election she ever fought.

Mary Patricia McAleese ; née Leneghan is an Irish politician who served as the eighth President of Ireland from November 1997 to November 2011. She is an award-winning Catholic academic and author and holds a licentiate and doctorate in Canon law. She was the second female president of Ireland. McAleese was first elected in 1997, succeeding Mary Robinson, making her the first woman in the world to succeed another woman as president. She was reelected unopposed for a second term in office in 2004. On both occasions she was elected as an independent, although she was previously a member of Fianna Fáil. McAleese is the first president of Ireland to have come from either Northern Ireland or Ulster.

He has been a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Donegal constituency since 2016, and previously from 2007 to 2016 for the Donegal North-East constituency. He previously served as Minister for Education and Skills from 2018 to 2020, Government Chief Whip and Minister of State for Gaeilge, Gaeltacht and the Islands from 2017 to 2018, Minister of State for the Diaspora and Overseas Development from 2016 to 2017 and Minister of State for Gaeltacht Affairs and Natural Resources from 2014 to 2016. He was a Senator for the Administrative Panel from 2002 and 2007.

Michael Noonan is an Irish former Fine Gael politician who served as Minister for Finance from 2011 to 2017, Leader of the Opposition and Leader of Fine Gael from 2001 to 2002, Minister for Health from 1994 to 1997, Minister for Industry and Commerce from 1986 to 1987, Minister for Energy from January 1987 to March 1987 and Minister for Justice from 1982 to 1986. He served as a Teachta Dála (TD) from 1981 to 2020.
