Adventure World(ja: 白浜アドベンチャーワールド, Shirahama Adventure World) is a theme park that integrates a zoo, a public aquarium, and an amusement park in the town on Shirayama, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by Hours Co., Ltd. (AWS), an affiliate of Marusue Co., Ltd. headquartered in Matsubara City, Osaka Prefecture. When it first opened on April 22, 1978, it was called "Nanki Shirahama World Safari."

Aqua World , formerly the Ibaraki Prefectural Oarai Aquarium , is a 19,800 square metres (213,000 sq ft) aquarium in the Higashiibaraki District of Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, North of Oarai port at the mouth of the Naka River. We are focusing on displaying sharks, and 59 types of sharks live in the aquarium. Many varieties of sea species, especially fish, can be found in Aqua World. The fee for entry varies according to the age group.

The Ice Aquarium is a tourist attraction in the north-eastern port of Kesennuma, Miyagi, Japan, operated by the Okamoto Ice Refrigeration Plant. It features approximately 450 marine creatures that were flash-frozen into blocks of ice after being caught by local fishermen. The attraction was established in 2002. It showcases more than 70 different species of sea creatures, including crab, squid and octopus, Due to the extreme cold temperature inside the Ice Aquarium, visitors are advised to stay for only five minutes.

The aquarium has the exhibit, “Encounter the Okinawan Sea”, which reproduces the sea of Okinawa and most of the creatures that live in it. Churaumi was selected as the name of the aquarium by public vote amongst Japanese people: chura means "beautiful" or "graceful" in the Okinawan language, and umi means "ocean" in Japanese.
