
Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed, released as Akiba's Trip 2 in Japan, is a 2013 action-adventure video game for the PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows by Acquire. It is the sequel to Akiba's Trip on the PlayStation Portable. A third game in the series, Akiba's Trip Festa, has been released on November 2016.

Altered Beast, released as Jūōki: Project Altered Beast in Japan, is a 2005 action-adventure beat 'em up video game for the PlayStation 2. The game is a remake of the 1988 arcade game Altered Beast. While the gameplay still involves the main character transforming into different kinds of beasts like in the original, the story, characters and setting are completely different, along with notable gameplay additions. The game was released in Europe and Japan in 2005, but was cancelled for North America.

Blood-C is a 2011 Japanese anime television series co-produced by studio Production I.G and manga artist group CLAMP. It is the second anime series in the Blood franchise following the 2005–2006 series Blood+. The original 12-episode series aired during 2011, with a movie Blood-C: The Last Dark releasing in Japanese theaters the following year. The anime was subsequently adapted into two manga, a 2011 novelization, a 2015 stage play set between the events of Blood-C and The Last Dark, and three live-action movies.

Blood-C: The Last Dark is a 2012 Japanese animated action horror film based on the 2011 anime series Blood-C, acting as a conclusion to the series' storyline. The film was co-produced by studio Production I.G, creators of the Blood franchise, and manga artist group CLAMP. While most of the staff were not involved in the anime series, original writers Nanase Ohkawa and Junichi Fujisaku wrote the script.

Blood+ , pronounced "Blood Plus," is a Japanese anime television series produced by Production I.G and Aniplex and directed by Junichi Fujisaku. The series was broadcast on MBS and TBS from October 2005 to September 2006. Blood+ is licensed for international distribution in several regions through Sony Pictures' international arm, Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI).

Bloodborne is an action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. It was released worldwide in March 2015. Bloodborne follows the player's character, a Hunter, through the decrepit Gothic, Victorian era–inspired city of Yharnam, whose inhabitants are afflicted with a blood-borne disease. Attempting to find the source of the plague, the player's character unravels the city's mysteries while fighting beasts and cosmic beings.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a Metroidvania video game developed by ArtPlay and published by 505 Games. The game's development was led by former Castlevania series producer Koji Igarashi, and is considered a spiritual successor to the series. The game is the second in the Bloodstained series. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was released for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in June 2019. Ports for iOS and Android devices have been announced.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is an action-adventure game, the sequel to the 2010 game Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, and part of the Castlevania franchise. The game was developed by MercurySteam and published by Konami. It was released late February 2014 in both North America and Europe and in March 2014 in Australia. Lords of Shadow 2 was released on September 4, 2014 in Japan. A downloadable chapter has also been released in March from the same year.

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia is a platform-adventure game and the third Nintendo DS installment of the Castlevania franchise. Directed by Akihiro Minakata, with producer Koji Igarashi returning. The plot involves Shanoa, who is part of an organization set to defeat Dracula after the Belmont clan has vanished.

Cells at Work! is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Akane Shimizu. It features the anthropomorphized cells of a human body, with the two main protagonists being a red blood cell and a white blood cell she frequently encounters. The manga has been serialized in Kodansha's shōnen manga magazine Monthly Shōnen Sirius since January 2015. It is licensed in North America by Kodansha USA.

Corpse Princess is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshiichi Akahito. Premiering in Monthly Shōnen Gangan on April 12, 2005, the series centers on the "Corpse Princess" Makina Hoshimura, an undead girl who is hunting down 108 undead corpses in order to gain entry into heaven with the help of a secret society of anti-corpse Buddhist monks.

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is a visual novel adventure game developed by Spike Chunsoft for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and Windows. The game was released in Japan in January 2017, and in North America and Europe by NIS America that September. A Windows version was also released at the same time.

Deadman Wonderland is a Japanese manga series written by Jinsei Kataoka and illustrated by Kazuma Kondou, who also wrote and illustrated the Eureka Seven manga, and published in Shōnen Ace since 2008. Tokyopop acquired the licensing rights to distribute the manga in English and released the first 5 volumes of the manga before the company shut down its North American Publishing division in 2011. Viz Media announced that it had licensed the series for English language release in North America on July 7, 2013, and released the first volume on February 11, 2014; new volumes were released every two months there after.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotōge. It follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy who becomes a demon slayer after his family is slaughtered and his younger sister Nezuko is turned into a demon. The manga was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine from February 2016 to May 2020, and its chapters collected in 22 tankōbon volumes as of October 2020. It is published in English by Viz Media and simulpublished by Shueisha in English and Spanish on their Manga Plus platform.

Deuteronomium - Der Tag des jüngsten Gericht is a 2004 Swiss horror film written and directed by Roger Grolimund and co-written by Franziska Lehmann. Released direct-to-video, it stars Samuel Binkert as a down on his luck loser who begins punishing sinners at the behest of an angel played by Denise Meili.

Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening, known in Japan as Devil May Cry 3, is a hack and slash video game developed and published by Capcom, released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2 and ported to Microsoft Windows in 2006. The game is a prequel to the original Devil May Cry, featuring a younger Dante. Set a decade before the events of the first Devil May Cry in an enchanted tower, Temen-ni-gru, the story centers on the dysfunctional relationship between Dante and his brother Vergil. The game introduces combat mechanics with an emphasis on combos and fast-paced action. The story is told primarily in cutscenes using the game's engine, with several pre-rendered full motion videos.

Dogs is a Japanese manga series by Shirow Miwa. The first manga of the series was published in 2001 as Dogs: Stray Dogs Howling in the Dark. In 2005, a manga sequel began serialization in the manga magazine Ultra Jump as Dogs: Bullets & Carnage, continuing the storyline. The Dogs: Prelude manga volume has been adapted into a two-volume original video animation series (OVA) by David Production in 2009.

Drakengard 3, known in Japan as Drag-On Dragoon 3, is an action role-playing video game developed by Access Games and published by Square Enix exclusively for PlayStation 3. It is the third game in the Drakengard series and a prequel to the original game. The game, like the rest of the series, features a mixture of ground-based hack-and-slash combat and aerial battles. The story focuses on Zero, a woman who can manipulate magic through song. Partnering with a dragon named Mikhail, Zero set out to kill her five sisters, who rule the world's regions. As she travels, the player discovers the true reason behind Zero's rampage.

Happy Tree Friends is an American adult animated web series created by Aubrey Ankrum, Rhode Montijo, and Kenn Navarro, and developed by Montijo, Navarro, and Jeremy Viet Duong for Mondo Media. The show had achieved a cult following on YouTube. Montijo, Navarro, Graff, Ankrum serving as showrunners.

Happy Wheels is a ragdoll physics-based platform browser game developed and published by American studio Fancy Force. Created by video game designer Jim Bonacci in 2010, the game features several player characters, who use different, sometimes atypical, vehicles to traverse the game's many levels. The game is best known for its graphic violence and the amount of user-generated content its players produce on a regular basis, with game maps shared on a public server.

Hellsing is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kouta Hirano. It was serialized in Young King OURs from May 1997 to September 2008. The series chronicles the efforts of the mysterious and secret Hellsing Organization as it combats vampires, ghouls, and other supernatural foes who threaten England.

It's a Beautiful Day (クソすばらしいこの世界) is a 2013 Japanese horror film directed by Kayoko Asakura. It stars Kim Kkot-bi. It is the debut film by Kayoko Asakura and had its premiere at the Yubari Film Festival in 2013. The film is set in California, where A-jung is picked up by her Japanese friend Takako. They visit Takako's friends who treat A-jung poorly. That night around a campfire, mysterious supernatural events begin to happen involving Takako's friends.

The Itchy & Scratchy Show is a fictional animated television series featured in the American animated television series The Simpsons. It appears as a part of The Krusty the Clown Show. Itself an animated cartoon, The Itchy & Scratchy Show depicts a blue mouse, Itchy, who repeatedly and violently maims and/or kills a black cat, Scratchy. The cartoon first appeared in The Tracey Ullman Show short "The Bart Simpson Show", which aired on November 20, 1988. The cartoon's first appearance in The Simpsons was in the 1990 episode "There's No Disgrace Like Home". Typically presented as 15- to 60-second-long cartoons, the show is filled with gratuitous violence that almost invariably prompts uproarious laughter from Bart and Lisa. The Simpsons also occasionally features characters who are involved with the production of The Itchy & Scratchy Show, including Roger Meyers Jr., who runs the studio and produces the show.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki. It was originally serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine from 1987 to 2004, and was transferred to the monthly seinen magazine Ultra Jump in 2005. The series is divided into eight story arcs, each following a new protagonist bearing the "JoJo" nickname; the eighth part, JoJolion, began its ongoing serialization in May 2011. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is Shueisha's largest ongoing manga series by volume count, with its chapters collected in 128 tankōbon volumes as of October 2020.

Kamen Rider Kabuto is a Japanese tokusatsu superhero television series. It is the sixteenth installment in the popular Kamen Rider Series of tokusatsu programs. It is a joint collaboration between Ishimori Productions and Toei. The series was broadcast on TV Asahi. The first episode aired on January 29, 2006, and with the final episode airing on January 21, 2007, completing the series with 49 episodes. The series represents the 35th anniversary of the Kamen Rider Series, as indicated by a notice at the beginning of the pilot episode reading, in Japanese, "Kamen Rider 35th Anniversary Production." Kamen Rider Kabuto is the first Kamen Rider Series to be broadcast in a high-definition format.

Neverending Nightmares is a video game developed by Infinitap Games. It is a horror game drawing inspiration from the lead designer Matt Gilgenbach's personal struggles with obsessive–compulsive disorder and depression; in an interview, he stated that he was "trying to create that feeling [of bleakness and hopelessness] in Neverending Nightmares".

Onechanbara Z2: Chaos is a 2014 Action–Hack and slash video game developed by Tamsoft, as part of the OneeChanbara series. It is the sequel to the Japan-exclusive Xbox 360 title OneeChanbara Z ~ Kagura ~, and the first game in the series to be localized since Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad and OneChanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers in 2009.

Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad is a hack and slash action horror video game released on December 14, 2006 in Japan, February 10, 2009 in North America and February 27 in Europe, by Tamsoft and D3 Publisher as part of D3's Simple series. Styled after the exploitation films of the 1970s, the game features a campy story, over-the-top violence and gore and attractive female characters in skimpy outfits. It is the third main installment in the OneeChanbara video game series and the first title to be released in North America.

Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers is the Wii-exclusive sequel to Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad and the fourth main installment in the OneeChanbara video game series. It was released on February 7, 2008 in Japan and on February 10, 2009 in North America by Tamsoft and D3 as the first game in the OneChanbara series to be released for the Nintendo system. The game features elements from campy exploitation horror films, with equal amounts of bloody violence and exposed female flesh all played up to an intentionally ridiculous level.

Parasyte is a Japanese science fiction horror manga series written and illustrated by Hitoshi Iwaaki and published in Kodansha's Morning Open Zōkan and Monthly Afternoon magazine from 1988 to 1995. The manga was published in North America by first Tokyopop, then Del Rey, and finally Kodansha Comics.

Ponyo is a 2008 Japanese animated fantasy film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, animated by Studio Ghibli for the Nippon Television Network, Dentsu, Hakuhodo DY Media Partners, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment, Mitsubishi, and distributed by Toho. The film stars Yuria Nara, Hiroki Doi, Tomoko Yamaguchi, Kazushige Nagashima, Yūki Amami, George Tokoro, Rumi Hiiragi, Akiko Yano, Kazuko Yoshiyuki and Tomoko Naraoka. It is the eighth film Miyazaki directed for Studio Ghibli, and his tenth overall. The film tells the story of Ponyo (Nara), a goldfish who escapes from the ocean and is rescued by a five-year-old human boy, Sōsuke (Doi) after she is washed ashore while trapped in a glass jar. As they bond with each other, the story deals with resolving Ponyo's desire to become a human girl, against the devastating circumstances brought about by her acquisition and use of magic.

Siren, known as Forbidden Siren in the PAL region, is a survival horror stealth game developed by Project Siren, a development team within SCE Japan Studio, and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 2 in 2003. The game's plot revolves around an interconnected cast of characters that possess a power which enables them to see and hear what a nearby character sees. It was followed by two sequel/remakes and a loose film adaption. On June 14, 2016 it was re-released for the PlayStation 4 which is part of the PS2 on PS4 library with added trophy support and at a higher resolution.

Siren: Blood Curse is a survival horror stealth game developed by Project Siren, a development team of SCE Japan Studio, and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 3. The third and final installment in the Siren series, Blood Curse was released in July 2008 in Japan and on the PlayStation Store in North America and PAL regions. It was released in October 2008 in Australia and Europe and in December 2008 on the PlayStation Store in Japan.

Tokyo Ghoul is a Japanese dark fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Sui Ishida. It was serialized in Shueisha's seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Jump between September 2011 and September 2014, and was collected in fourteen tankōbon volumes. A prequel, titled Tokyo Ghoul [Jack], ran online on Jump Live in 2013 and was collected in a single tankōbon volume. A sequel, titled Tokyo Ghoul:re, was serialized in Weekly Young Jump between October 2014 and July 2018, and was collected in sixteen tankōbon volumes.

Vampire Knight is a Japanese shōjo manga series written by Matsuri Hino. The series premiered in the January 2005 issue of LaLa magazine and officially ended in May 2013. Chapters were collected and published in collected volumes by Hakusensha, concluding with nineteen volumes released in Japan. The manga series is licensed in English by Viz Media, who has released all nineteen volumes. The English adaptation premiered in the July 2006 issue of Viz's Shojo Beat magazine, with the collected volumes being published on a quarterly basis.
