1961 Liechtenstein referendums

Three referendums were held in Liechtenstein during 1961. The first was held on 12 March on the creation of a new tax law, and was approved by 66.7% of voters. The second was held on 8 August on an initiative on the law on land surveying, and was approved by 60.9% of voters. The third on 8 December was on an initiative on hunting law, and was approved by 51% of voters.

A double referendum was held in Liechtenstein on 25 February 1962. The first question was on the subject of the law on civic defence, and was rejected by 74.3% of voters. The second was on the game hunting law, and was approved by 54.6% of voters.

Three referendums were held in Liechtenstein during 1985. The first was held on 3 February on a new hunting law, and was rejected by 62.5% of voters. The second was held on 2 July on increasing the number of seats in the Landtag and had two proposals. Neither gained a majority of votes, so both were rejected. The third was held on 1 December on sexual equality. It also had two options, but both failed to gain a majority and were rejected.

A seven-part abrogative referendum was held in Italy on 15 June 1997. Voters were asked whether they approved of the repealing of laws on topics including privatisation, conscientious objectors, hunting, the judiciary and journalists, as well as whether the Ministry of Agrarian Politics should be abolished. Although all seven proposals were approved by voters, the voter turnout of 30% was well below the 50% threshold and the results were invalidated.

Maine Question 1 (MQ1), "An Act To Prohibit the Use of Dogs, Bait or Traps When Hunting Bears Except under Certain Circumstances", was a citizen-initiated referendum measure in Maine, which was voted on in the general election of November 4, 2014. As the Maine Legislature declined to act on the proposed statute, it was automatically placed on the ballot. The proposal was defeated by 320,873 "No" votes to 279,617 "Yes".
