Ervand Abrahamian is an Iranian American historian of the Middle East. He is Distinguished Professor of History at Baruch College and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York and is widely regarded as one of the leading historians of modern Iran.

Dariusz Baliszewski was a Polish historian, journalist and writer. Author of television show "Rewizja nadzwyczajna", he was a common author of historical articles to one of the biggest Polish magazines, Wprost. He specialized in Polish 20th century history, and is known for several controversial hypotheses, like those related to the death of general Władysław Sikorski.

Sir Richard John Evans is a British historian of 19th- and 20th-century Europe with a focus on Germany. He is the author of eighteen books, including his three-volume The Third Reich Trilogy (2003–2008) that has been hailed as "brilliant" and "magisterial". Evans was Regius Professor of History at the University of Cambridge from 2008 until his retirement in 2014, and President of Cambridge's Wolfson College from 2010 to 2017. He has been Provost of Gresham College in London since 2014. Evans was appointed Knight Bachelor for services to scholarship in the 2012 Birthday Honours.

Yuri Georgievich Felshtinsky is a Russian American historian. Felshtinsky has authored a number of books on Russian history, including The Bolsheviks and the Left SRs, Towards a History of Our Isolation, The Failure of the World Revolution, Blowing up Russia, and The Age of Assassins.

Chaim (Harvey) J. Hames is a professor of history at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU), in Beer-Sheva, Israel, and the incumbent of the David Berg and Family Chair in European History. On August 1, 2018, he assumed office as Rector of BGU. Hames' research focuses on medieval history, with a particular interest in inter-religious encounters, particularly between Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. He also works on religious conversion, inter-religious polemics, mysticism, philosophy, apocalypticism, and magic.

Yuval Noah Harari is an Israeli public intellectual, historian and a professor in the Department of History at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is the author of the popular science bestsellers Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind (2014), Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow (2016), and 21 Lessons for the 21st Century (2018). His writings examine free will, consciousness, intelligence, happiness and suffering.

Hrvoje Klasić is a Croatian historian. Since 2003 Klasić is a professor at the Department of History at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb. His work focuses on contemporary Croatian and world history. Klasić is a prominent critic of attempts at rehabilitation of the World War II fascist Ustaša movement in the country. He is ambassador for the European Association of History Educators.

Abdul Rasheed Hussain is a historian, linguist and poet, and a former Minister of Cabinet of the Maldives during the Maumoon Abdul Gayoom administration. His first cabinet portfolio was as the Minister of Atolls Administration in 1993. In addition, he has filled other cabinet positions such as Minister of Employment and Labour, Minister of Planning, Human Resources and Environment, Minister of Fisheries, Agriculture and Marine Resources, and Minister for Higher Education, Employment and Social Security. He holds a BA (Honours) in Economics from the University of Karachi in Pakistan and is the first Maldivian to hold a graduate degree in Economics. On 27 July 2013, Mr Abdul Rasheed Hussain was awarded the Most Honourable Order of Distinguished Rule of Izzudheen, the second highest honour conferred by the Maldivian State. Abdul Rasheed Hussain is currently retired and serves as chairman of Liyuntheringe Gulhun, a literary organization of distinguished writers in the Maldives. He lives in the capital with his wife Moonisa Ibrahim.

Tvrtko Jakovina is a Croatian historian. Jakovina is a full time professor at the Department of History at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb.

Tony Robert Judt was an English-American historian, essayist and university professor who specialised in European history. Judt moved to New York and served as the Erich Maria Remarque Professor in European Studies at New York University, and Director of NYU's Erich Maria Remarque Institute. He was a frequent contributor to the New York Review of Books. In 1996 Judt was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and in 2007 a corresponding Fellow of the British Academy.

Tan Sri Dr. Khoo Kay Kim was a Malaysian historian of Chinese descent. He was honoured with Emeritus Professor title by the University of Malaya in 2001. In January 2011, Khoo was appointed Chancellor of KDU University College.

Robin James Lane Fox is an English classicist, ancient historian, and gardening writer known for his works on Alexander the Great. Lane Fox is an Emeritus Fellow of New College, Oxford and Reader in Ancient History, University of Oxford. Fellow and Tutor in Ancient History at New College from 1977 to 2014, he serves as Garden Master and as Extraordinary Lecturer in Ancient History for both New and Exeter Colleges. He has also taught Greek and Latin literature and early Islamic history.

His major work was in the fields of political sociology, trade union organization, social stratification, public opinion, and the sociology of intellectual life. He also wrote extensively about the conditions for democracy in comparative perspective. A socialist in his early life, Lipset later moved to the right, and was often considered a neoconservative.

Latinka Perović is a Serbian historian and former politician. During the existence of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia Perović was a secretary general of the League of Communists of Serbia in period between 1968−1972. In 1972 Federal League of Communists of Yugoslavia dismissed her from her position together with Marko Nikezić i Mirko Tepavac under the accusation that they are excessively liberal. Dismissal of Serbian "liberals" in 1972 followed an earlier dismissal of supposed Croatian "nationalists" of Croatian Spring.

Baron Philippe Roberts-Jones was a Belgian art historian who was the head of conservation of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium. A member of the Royal Academy of Science, Letters and Fine Arts of Belgium, of which he was president in 1980, he was also a member of the Free Academy of Belgium and a professor at the Université libre de Bruxelles. He was also a published poet.

Arseny Borisovich Roginsky was a Soviet dissident and Russian historian. He was one of the founders of the International Historical and Civil Rights Society Memorial, its head since 1998.

Rudolph P. Matthee, best known as Rudi Matthee, is John and Dorothy Munroe Distinguished Professor of History in the History Department at the University of Delaware, teaching Middle Eastern history and specializing in the history of early modern Iran. He received his PhD in 1991 from the University of California. Matthee is a member of the Association for the Study of Persianate Societies, for which he also functioned as president twice in 2003-2005 and 2009–2011. He is the author of numerous books and articles on Safavid and Qajar Iran.

Terje Simonsen is a Norwegian historian and nonfiction author. He is considered an early proponent of an androgynous pronoun in Norway.

Robert C. Solomon was an American professor of philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin, where he taught for more than 30 years. Professor Solomon won many teaching honors, including the Standard Oil Outstanding Teaching Award in 1973; the University of Texas President's Associates Teaching Award (twice); a Fulbright Lecture Award; University Research and National Endowment for the Humanities Grants; and the Chad Oliver Plan II Teaching Award in 1998.

Dubravka Stojanović is a Serbian historian, and professor at University of Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy. She worked on issues of democracy in Serbia and in the Balkans in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, interpretations of history in new Serbian textbooks, social history, the process of modernization, and the history of women in Serbia. She also consults the United Nations on the misuses of history in education. In 2017, she has signed the Declaration on the Common Language of the Croats, Serbs, Bosniaks and Montenegrins.

Sirje Tamul is an Estonian historian and a lector at the University of Tartu. She received her PhD in 2007.

Antumi Pallas Valencia, known as Antumi Toasijé, is a Spanish-Colombian historian and Pan-African activist of African descent (Afro-Spaniard). An independent scholar and lecturer, he is a specialist in African culture, racism, and Pan-African political philosophy.

Igor Leonidovich Volgin is a Soviet and Russian writer and historian, poet, specialist in literature.

Wu Mi-cha is a Taiwanese historian. He was the vice chairman of the Council for Cultural Affairs from 2001 to 2004, after which he became director of the National Museum of Taiwan History. In May 2016, Wu was appointed head of Academia Historica, serving until February 2019, when he was named Director of National Palace Museum.

Arif Yunusov, also known as Arif Yunus, is an Azerbaijani author, historian, and human rights activist. He is the head of the Department of Conflict and Migration of the Institute of Peace and Democracy. Arif Yunusov along with his wife Leyla are supporters of a peaceful resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. On 28 April 2014, Arif Yunusov and his wife Leyla were jailed on charges of extortion and treason for allegedly spying for Armenia. After being detained, Arif Yunusov was sentenced to 7 years in jail; his wife, Leyla Yunus, was sentenced to 8.5 years in jail. Their sentences were suspended 15 months later and the couple was allowed to leave for the Netherlands.
