
Dihua Street is a street located in Dadaocheng, Datong District, Taipei, Taiwan, winding from the south of the district to the north near Dalongdong. The street, then known as Centre Street (中街), was constructed during the 1850s, when many commercial entities belonging to Quanzhou-originating owners moved in from Bangka. Since then and throughout the rest of the 19th century, Dihua Street has been an important centre for commerce in Taiwanese products and produce such as Chinese medicinal herbs, fabrics, incense materials, and for the post-processing of Taiwanese tea.

Dunhua Road, consists of Dunhua North Road and Dunhua South Road, also called 12th Ave, is a major north-south arterial in Taipei, Taiwan. It connects the Songshan Airport and the Songshan District in the north with the Daan District in the south, near the National Taiwan University. Dunhua Road is known as one of Taipei's more beautiful arterials, mainly because of the large, landscaped medians dividing the express and local lanes of the arterial. The arterial channels traffic coming to and from Songshan Airport throughout Taipei. Dunhua Road is divided into north and south sections, with two numbered sections in the south and no numbered sections in the north.

Fuxing Road is a major arterial in Taipei connecting the Daan District and the National Taiwan University in the south with the Zhongzheng, Zhongshan, and Songshan districts around the northern terminus. Most of the Taipei Metro's Wenshan Line runs above Fuxing Road, with provisions along the road for the line's extension to Neihu. In November 2006, Taipei City opened up a new section of Fuxing Road between Minzu E. Road and the Dazhi Bridge, providing people a new connection between Dazhi and central Taipei without having to drive around Songshan Airport. The new connection is a four-lane tunnel travelling under Songshan Airport and is restricted to motorized vehicles only. Fuxing Road is divided into north and south sections by Zhongxiao E. Road, as is with most north-south arterials in Taipei. The southern section is divided into two numbered sections, while surprisingly, the northern section is not divided into numbered sections. Fuxing Road is also known for the many elaborate shopping malls located along the road, such as the Taipei SOGO, the Breeze Center, the Sunrise Department Store, and many more.

Guangfu Road is a major arterial in Taipei, Taiwan, which connects the Songshan district in the north with the Xinyi district in the south. The road travels through mostly residential areas with very few retail complexes. Despite the quiet surroundings, Guangfu Road is very congested, especially during rush hour. The road connects Songshan Airport and neighboring aviation companies with the residential areas of Songshan with several major arterials with connections to several large highways and the bustling commercial heart of the Xinyi district. Heping Road is a major east-west arterial in Taipei, Taiwan. The road is bisected into the East and West segments by Roosevelt Road, with three block sections in each segment. A fourth section in Heping East Road is currently under planning. Heping Road connects Wanhua District to Zhongzheng District in its East and Daan District to Xinyi District in its Eastern segment.

Keelung Road is a major arterial and highway in Taipei, Taiwan, connecting the Neihu district from the MacAuthur 1st Bridge in the east with the Songshan, Xinyi, and Daan districts towards the southwest, with a connection to Yonghe City via the Fuhe Bridge. Keelung is a very congested route because of its connections to and from Huandong Blvd., Tiding Blvd., Civic Blvd Expressway, Xinhai Road/National Freeway No. 3A, Shuiyuan Expressway, and the Fuhe Bridge, which are all major transportation corridors. There are a series of reversible lanes and bypasses along the corridor to provide traffic relieve within the small right-of-way.

Ketagalan Boulevard is an arterial road in Zhongzheng District in Taipei, Taiwan, between the Presidential Office Building and the East Gate (東門). It is 400 meters (1,300 ft) long and has a total of ten lanes in each direction with no median.
Minsheng Road is an east-west 4-lane to 10-lane arterial in Taipei, Taiwan connecting the Songshan District and Datong District of Taipei City. Minsheng Road is divided into east and west sections, with five smaller sections in the east section and only one is the west section.

Nanjing Road is a major arterial in Taipei, Taiwan, connecting the Datong district in the west with the Zhongshan and Songshan districts in the east. Nanjing Road is known for heavy traffic channeling from the MacAuthur Bridge into central Taipei. There are bus lanes and platforms in the middle of the roadway to facilitate transit on the roadway. Underground MRT line runs under Nanjing Road for most of the corridor.

Ren'ai Road is a major arterial road in Taipei, Taiwan, connecting the Xinyi District in the east with the Daan and Zhongzheng districts towards the west. Renai Road forms a one-way couplet with Xinyi Road between Guangfu Road and Zhongshan Road, with Ren'ai for westbound traffic and Xinyi for eastbound traffic. Ren'ai Road is known as one of Taipei's more "beautiful" roads, with the heavily landscaped medians dividing the road into local and express lanes. Along with Xinyi Road, Ren'ai Road has a contraflow bus only lane in the middle of the roadway.
Roosevelt Road is a north-south avenue and part of Provincial Highway 9 in Taipei, Taiwan, connecting Zhongzheng District, Daan District and Wenshan District with Xindian District, New Taipei City in the south of the Taipei metropolitan area. It was named after U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, making it the only street named for a Western figure in Taipei, excluding the former MacArthur Thruway. The road was built along the route of the old TRA Xindian Line, which closed in 1965.

The Xinsheng Road is a major arterial in Taipei, Taiwan, connecting the Daan District in the south with the Zhongshan and the Shilin districts in the north. The roads were built along both sides of the Horikawa River in Japanese rule period, which was called Horikawa-dōri. Xinsheng Road is mainly a surface arterial, with the exception of the section between Zhongxiao Road and Zhongshan Road, where there is a four-lane expressway running above the surface arterial, which eventually carries the road over the Keelung River north of Minzu Road and onto Zhongshan Road on the other side. Xinsheng literally means "New Life" and the road is named after the New Life Movement which was established by Chiang Kai-shek and Soong Mei-ling.

Xinyi Road is an eastbound one-way arterial forming a one-way couplet with the nearby Renai Road, connecting the Zhongzheng District with the Xinyi District in Taipei, Taiwan. Its western terminus is at the East Gate of Taipei's former city wall, at the intersection of Zhongshan Road, Ketagalan Boulevard, and Renai Road. Near the eastern terminus, there is a new interchange with the new Xinyi Expressway, a new highway connecting Xinyi Road in the Xinyi District to National Highway 3 in the Muzha District.

Zhongshan Road, named after Sun Yat-sen, is a major arterial in Taipei, Taiwan connecting the Zhongzheng District in the south with the Datong, Shilin Districts and the Beitou District in the north. The road was built in Japanese rule period. It was called Chokushi kaidō, which was the road leading to Taiwan Grand Shrine. Zhongshan is notable as the commuting route of former ROC president Chiang Kai-shek between the Presidential Building and his Shilin District residence. Throughout the route, it is divided into express and local lanes, with landscaped medians in between. Zhongxiao Road is a major arterial boulevard and part of provincial highway 5 in Taipei, Taiwan, connecting the Zhongzheng district in the west with the Daan, Songshan, Xinyi, and Nangang districts towards the east. Zhongxiao is known as a popular shopping and entertainment area, with many large department stores and shopping malls located along most of the entire stretch. About half of the Nangang Line of the Taipei Metro runs under the road, with stations located at major intersections along the road, which accounts for the significant pedestrian traffic along the road. The majority of the road is 8-10 lanes wide with a median dividing the road. At the intersection with Zhongshan Road, there is a two-lane underpass for traffic on Zhongxiao Road to bypass the intersection.
