Kinniya Bridge is the Sri Lanka's longest bridge situated in kinniya, which attracts many tourists in the town. Being located on the Trincomalee Harbour, Kinniya was badly devastated by the massive tsunami that resulted from the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake.

Thampalakamam is a town in the Trincomalee District of Sri Lanka and it is located about 20 km South-West of Trincomalee. It is also known as Tampainakar in Tamil chronicles written during the 17th century. Portuguese colonial officers who came to the general area after 1622 with the destruction of the Koneswaram temple, described the village as prosperous and large. It was the seat of government of medieval feudal lords of the area who had control over a region called Tampalakamam Pattu. It became the refuge of Hindus and their idols that were saved from the destruction of the temple of Koneswaram. Ati Konanayakar a successor temple was constructed in Thampalakamam. During the Sri Lankan civil war in the 1980s and 1990s the village and the surrounding area were severely affected, leading to massacres and depopulation. The village was resettled after 2002.

Thirukkovil or Tirukovil is a town in the Ampara District of Sri Lanka, situated along the eastern coast of the island. It is 30 km (19 mi) north of Pottuvil and 35 km (22 mi) south of Kalmunai. In Tamil the name translates to God's-temple. It was affected by 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.

Villundy is a village administrative division in Trincomalee Town and Gravets in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka. As of 2005, Villundy consists of 732 families with 4269 members. This area consists of Parts of Trincomalee Courts, Dockyard Road, St Mary's Street, Cathedral Street, Bakery Road, Gorge Road, Barathi Road, Fatima Road, Kadasamy Kovil Road, Inner Harbour Road and Lavendor Road.

Vinayagapuram is a Tamil village in the Thirukkovil Divisional Secretariat Division of the Ampara District in the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka. In the early days, all the land that was once a coastal land was ceded to the state and distributed to the landless in 1959. The village was named Vinayagapuram in 1962 as a settlement village.
