The following is a list of the most populous cities, municipalities and towns of Kenya. In Kenya there are only three incorporated cities including the capital and largest city, Nairobi, the second largest and the costal city of Mombasa, and the third largest and inland port city of Kisumu. Two of the three cities, Nairobi and Mombasa are cities whose county borders run the same as their city limits, so in a way they could be thought of as City-Counties. Apart from these three cities, there are numerous municipalities and towns with significant urban populations.

Kibera is the largest slum in Nairobi, and the largest urban slum in Africa. The 2009 Kenya Population and Housing Census reports Kibera's population as 170,070, contrary to previous estimates of one or two million people. Other sources suggest the total Kibera population may be 500,000 to well over 1,000,000 depending on which slums are included in defining Kibera.

Kikuyu is a town in Kiambu County, Kenya, which grew from a settlement of colonial missionaries. The town is located about 20 km (12 mi) northwest of central Nairobi. It is about 20 minutes from Nairobi via a number of routes, including a dual carriage road, and has a railway station on the Mombasa – Malaba Railway Line. The town is named after the Kĩkũyũ people, the major ethnicity that settled in the area. As of 2019 the total population is 323,881. Due to its geology and rich soil texture, the chief activities are livestock and crop farming. With the recent completion of the Southern Bypass that connects Mombasa to Nairobi via Kikuyu, the town is poised for greater growth as is the only town on the Bypass. Kikuyu hosts a Sub-County Administration which is the administrative division in Kiambu County.

Kitisuru is a suburb of Nairobi, the capital city and largest metropolitan area in Kenya. The name Kitisuru comes from a nearby river "Gìtathurù" which was borrowed from the original inhabitants of the area who were mainly of the Kikuyu dialect. Kitisuru Ward is located in Westlands Constituency within Nairobi County.

Kondele is a district of the city of Kisumu, the third largest city in Kenya, and the second largest city, after Kampala, in the Lake Victoria Basin.
