It offers jazz, Latin, soul, R&B, blues and gospel music seven nights a week, and sometimes also on Sunday afternoons, making it one of the busiest jazz clubs in Europe.

The Artists' Quarter was a well-known, musician-owned and operated jazz club in the Twin Cities. The club opened in the early 1970s in Minneapolis, Minnesota at 26th street and Nicollet Avenue south. After the original club closed in 1990, drummer Kenny Horst opened a new location at the corner of Fifth and Jackson streets in Saint Paul, Minnesota in 1995. The club moved to the basement of the historic Hamm Building in downtown St. Paul in 2001.

It was in March 1983 that the Gibson's Brothers launched Le Baiser Salé at 58, rue des Lombards in the heart of Paris. These three Caribbean brothers, hit musicians, authors, among others, of the global tube Cuba decide to open Le Baiser Salé and make it a Café-Concert where you could have a drink while listening to a live band. A few months later, the formula changed with the only group that played every night gave way to a weekly program, quickly implemented by the current programmer Maria Rodriguez.

Randi formed his own group, Don Randi and Quest, as the house band. Over the years it has hosted many live recordings from jazz fusion artists. Larry Carlton recorded Last Nite there in 1986. In 2010 The Baked Potato was named the Best Jazz Club in Los Angeles by Los Angeles magazine. They have cited it as a "mainstay for session players since 1975". Nick Menza of Megadeth collapsed and died while playing here with his band Ohm on May 21, 2016.

Peacock Alley was one of St. Louis's most important jazz clubs in the 1950s. It was located in the former Mill Creek Valley neighborhood at 2935 Lawton Boulevard. It was close to Union Station, so it was favored among musicians due to the proximity. The venue was initially opened in 1944 in the basement of Midtown Hotel as the Glass Bar. In 1955, the Glass Bar was remodeled and renamed to Peacock Alley. Some sources report that it was located in Gaslight Square, although this is incorrect. It attracted performances from Miles Davis, John Coltrane, the Chet Baker Quartet, J.J. Johnson, Max Roach, Kai Winding, Art Blakey and many others.
