
This is the list of total 37 cities and towns in Kosovo, listed by population according to the data of 2011 census. The capital city of Pristina is also the largest city, with a population of 145,149 people. Kosovo's second largest city is Prizren, followed by Gjilan, Peja, Mitrovica, Ferizaj and Gjakova. There are six cities/towns with 10,000–30,000 inhabitants and 24 with under 10,000 inhabitants.

Deçan or Dečani, is a village and the seat of the municipality of the name in Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town of Deçan has 3,803 inhabitants, while the municipality has 40,019 inhabitants. Based on the population estimates from the Kosovo Agency of Statistics in 2016, the municipality has 41,641 inhabitants.

Dragash or Sharr or Dragaš, is a town and municipality located in the Prizren District of Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town of Dragaš has 1,098 inhabitants, while the municipality has 34,827 inhabitants. The Albanian name Sharri is a reference to the Šar Mountains. The Serbian name Dragaš comes from medieval Serbian lord Constantine Dragaš.

Drenas, is a town and municipality located in the Pristina District in central Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town of Drenas had 6,143 inhabitants, while the municipality had 58,531 inhabitants.

Dujakë is a village in the Gjakova municipality of Kosovo. It is located 8-10 km from Gjakova on the Gjakova-Peć highway.

Ferizaj or Uroševac is a city and municipality located in the Ferizaj District of Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the city has 42,628 inhabitants, while the municipality has 108,610 inhabitants.

Gjakova or Đakovica is the seventh most populous city of Kosovo and the capital of the eponymous municipality and district. The city has 40,827 inhabitants, while the municipality has 94,556 inhabitants.

Gjilan or Gnjilane, is a city and municipality located in the Gjilan District in eastern Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the city of Gjilan has 54,239 inhabitants, while the municipality has 90,178 inhabitants.

Istok or Istog or Burim is a town and municipality located in the District of Peja of western Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town of Istok has 5,115 inhabitants, while the municipality has 39,289 inhabitants. Based on the population estimates from the Kosovo Agency of Statistics in 2016, the municipality has 39,982 inhabitants.

Jezerc is a village in the Ferizaj municipality of Kosovo that has also been known since 1999 as Bjeshkas or Kushtrim. In the eastern part of the municipality, it is one of the largest townships by area anywhere in Kosovo. The rural settlement has been scarcely excavated but what has been completed as shown settlement since Illyro-Roman times.

Junik is a town located in Junik Municipality in the Gjakova District in western Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town of Junik has 6,053 inhabitants, while the municipality has 6,084 inhabitants. Based on the population estimates from the Kosovo Agency of Statistics in 2016, the municipality has 6,425 inhabitants.

Kaçanik or Kačanik is a town and municipality located in the Ferizaj District of southern Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town of Kaçanik has 15,634 inhabitants, while the municipality has 33,409 inhabitants.

Kamenica or Dardana, or Kosovska Kamenica, is a town and municipality located in the Gjilan District of Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town of Kamenica has 7,331 inhabitants, while the municipality has 36,085 inhabitants.

Klina is a town and municipality located in the District of Peja of north-western Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town of Klina has 5,542 inhabitants, while the municipality has 38,496 inhabitants. It is located at the confluence of the river Klina into the White Drin.

Kmetoc is a village about 7 km northeast of Gjilan, Kosovo. It is in a hilly area that divides the neighborhoods starkly.

Kosovo Polje or Fushë Kosova, is a town and municipality located in the District of Pristina in central Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town of Kosovo Polje has 12,919 inhabitants, while the municipality has 33,977 inhabitants.

Leposavić, or Leposaviq or Albanik, is a town and the northernmost municipality in the Mitrovica District in Kosovo. As of 2015, it has an estimated population of 18,600 inhabitants. The municipality covers an area of 539 km2 (208 sq mi) which makes it the fifth largest in Kosovo, and consists of the town and 72 villages.

Lipljan or Lipjan is a town and municipality located in the Pristina District of Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town of Lipljan has 6,870 inhabitants, while the municipality has 57,605 inhabitants.

Malisheva is a town and municipality located in the Prizren District of Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town of Mališevo has 3,395 inhabitants, while the municipality has 54,613 inhabitants.

Mitrovica or Kosovska Mitrovica is a city and municipality located in Kosovo. Settled on the banks of Ibar and Sitnica rivers, the city is the administrative center of the District of Mitrovica.
North Mitrovica or North Kosovska Mitrovica, is a town and municipality located in Mitrovica District in Kosovo. As of 2015, it has a population of 29,460 inhabitants. It covers an area of 11 km2 (4 sq mi).
Obilić, or Obiliq or Kastriot, is a town and municipality located in the Pristina District of Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town of Obilić has 6,864 inhabitants, while the municipality has 21,549 inhabitants. The municipality includes the town of Obilić and 19 villages.

Rahovec or Orahovac is a town and municipality located in the District of Prizren in western Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town of Orahovac has 15,892 inhabitants, while the municipality has 56,208 inhabitants.

Peja or Peć is the fourth most populous city of Kosovo and the capital of the eponymous municipality and district. It is situated in the region of Rugova on the eastern section of the Bjeshkët e Nemuna along the Peja Bistrica in the western part of Kosovo.

Podujevo, or Podujeva/Podjeva or Besiana, is a town and municipality in Kosovo's Pristina District. According to the 2011 census, the city has 23,453 inhabitants. The total population of the municipality is estimated at 83,242.

Pristina is the capital of Kosovo and the seat of the eponymous municipality and district. Its population is predominantly Albanian-speaking constituting the second-largest such city in Europe, after Tirana. The city is located in the northeastern section of Kosovo in a relatively flat plain close to the Gollak mountains.

Sallabajë is a village in the Podujevo municipality of Kosovo that has also been known since 1999 as Bajëllap or Bajë e Llapit.

Skenderaj or Srbica is a town and municipality located in the Mitrovica District of Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town of Skënderaj has 9,372 inhabitants, while the municipality has 50,858 inhabitants.

Štimlje or Shtime, is a town and municipality located in the Ferizaj District of Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town of Štimlje has 7,225 inhabitants, while the municipality has 27,324 inhabitants. The territory of the municipality covers an area of 134 square kilometers.

Štrpce or Shtërpca, is a town and municipality located in the Ferizaj District in Kosovo. As of 2015, it has an estimated population of 13,630 inhabitants.
Suva Reka or Theranda, is a town and municipality located in the Prizren district of central-southern Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town has 10,422 inhabitants, while the municipality has 59,722 inhabitants.
Vitina or Viti, is a town and municipality located in the District of Gjilan in Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town of Vitina has 4,924 inhabitants, while the municipality has 46,987 inhabitants.

Vučitrn or Vushtrri, is a town and municipality located in the Mitrovica District in northern Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town of Vučitrn has 26,964 inhabitants, while the municipality has 69,870 inhabitants. Vučitrn is surrounded with the city of Mitrovica in the north, Podujevo in the east, Obilić in the south, Glogovac in the south-west, and Skenderaj in the west. The municipality of Vučitrn has 67 villages.

Zubin Potok is a town and municipality located in the Mitrovica District in Kosovo. As of 2015, it has an estimated population of 15,200 inhabitants. It covers an area of 335 km2 (129 sq mi), and consists of the main town and 63 villages.
