Abeokouta is a village in western Benin. It is located in Savalou commune in the Collines Department.

Abidzi is a village in western Benin. It is located in Bantè commune in the former Zou Province of which since 1999 is part of the Collines Department.

Abomey-Calavi is a city, arrondissement, and commune located in the Atlantique Department of Benin. It is now essentially a suburb of Cotonou and at its closest it begins approximately 18 km from the city centre of Cotonou. The main cities of the commune are Abomey-Calavi itself and Godomey to the south. The commune covers an area of 650 square kilometres and as at the May 2013 Census had a population of 655,965 people.

Akoumokoumo is a village in western Benin. It is located in Savalou commune in the Collines Department.

Alafiarou is a town and arrondissement located in the commune of Tchaourou in the Borgou Department of Benin.

Alekpo is a village in western Benin. It is located in Savalou commune in the Collines Department.

Amou is a village in western Benin. It is located in Savalou commune in the Collines Department. Prior to 1999 Amou was part of the former Zou Province.

Apaki is a village in western Benin near the Togolese border. It is located in Savalou commune in the Collines Department.

Atokou is a village in western Benin. It is located in Bantè commune in the Collines Department.
Bembèrèkè is a town, arrondissement, and commune located in the Borgou Department of Benin. The commune covers an area of 3348 square kilometres and as of 2012 had a population of 31,101 people. Notable sites include the Prytanée Military Training Center and the Bembéréké-Sinendé Hospital.

Bétérou is a town and arrondissement located in the Borgou Department of central Benin. As of 2009 it had an estimated population of 15,236.

Bori is a town and arrondissement located in the N’Dali commune of the Borgou Department of Benin.
Copargo is a town, arrondissement, and commune in the Donga Department of western Benin. The commune covers an area of 876 square kilometres and as of 2013 had a population of 70,938 people.

Cotonou is the economic centre of Benin. Its official population count was 761,137 inhabitants in 2006; however, some estimates indicate its population to be as high as 2.4 million. The population in 1960 was only 70,000. The urban area continues to expand, notably toward the west. The city lies in the southeast of the country, between the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Nokoué.
Djougou is the largest city in northwestern Benin. It is an important market town. The commune covers an area of 3,966 square kilometres and as of 2002 had a population of 181,895 people.

Djougou Rural is a municipality located in the department of Donga in the State of Benin. It includes the territory outside the city of Djougou.

Fombawi, also known as Fombaoui, is a town in the Ouenou arrondissement in the Borgou Department of Benin. It is an administrative division under the jurisdiction of the commune of Nikki. According to the population census in 2013, the village had a total population of 2,348.

Ganvie is a lake village in Benin, Africa, lying in Lake Nokoué, near Cotonou. With a population of around 20,000 people, it is probably the largest lake village in Africa and is very popular with tourists.

Kafingbe is a village in western Benin. It is located in Bantè commune in the Collines Department.

Kalalè is a town, arrondissement, and commune in the Borgou Department of eastern Benin. The commune covers an area of 3,586 square kilometres (1,385 sq mi) and as of 2013 had a population of 168,882 people.

Kogé is a small town and arrondissement located in the commune of Adjohoun in the Borgou Department of Benin. It lies in the fertile Ouémé River valley, where agriculture is the main industry. In 2008 during the 2008 Benin floods, the area was affected by the flooding of the Ouémé River which affected much of Adjohoun commune.

Manafaga is a village of western Benin, a country in Western Africa, formerly known as Dahomey. It is located at 10°22'0N 1°31'0E with an altitude of 608 metres (1998 feet).

Manala is a small town in the Zou Department of south-western Benin located 35 kilometres from Abomey. As of 2001 it had a population of 12,000. It covers an area of 135 km2 and the main language is French.

Matéri is a town, arrondissement and commune in the Atakora Department of north-western Benin. The commune covers an area of 4740 square kilometres and as of 2013 had a population of 113,958 people.

N'Dali is a city and arrondissement in the north of Benin, and the capital of the Commune of N'Dali in the Borgou Department. The commune covers an area of 3748 square kilometres and as of 2013 had a population of 113,604 people. In 2008 there were an estimated 16,941 people living in the main town of N'Dali.
Natitingou, informally referred to as Nati, is a city and commune in north western Benin and the capital of Atakora Department. The commune covers an area of 3045 square kilometres and as of 2013 had a population of 104,010 people.

Nikki is a town, arrondissement, and commune located in the Borgou Department of Benin. The commune covers an area of 3171 square kilometres and as of 2002 had a population of 99,251 people.

Okpedie is a village in western Benin. It is located in Bantè commune in the Collines Department.

Ouaké is a town, arrondissement, and commune in the Donga Department of western Benin. The commune covers an area of 663 square kilometres and as of 2013 had a population of 74,289 people.

Ouidah or Whydah, formerly the Kingdom of Whydah, is a city on the coast of the Republic of Benin. The commune covers an area of 364 km2 (141 sq mi) and as of 2002 had a population of 76,555 people.

Parakou is the largest city in northern Benin, with an estimated population of around 206,667 people, and capital of the Borgou Department. Administratively the commune of Parakou makes up one of Benin's 77 communes. Since 2015, its mayor is Souradjou Adamou Karimou.

Pèrèrè is a town, arrondissement, and commune in the Borgou Department of eastern Benin. The commune covers an area of 2017 square kilometres and as of 2013 had a population of 78,988 people.

Porga is a town located in the Atakora Department of Benin.

Tanvir was the capital of the Kingdom of Whydah prior to its capture by the forces of Dahomey in 1727.

Sinendé is a town, arrondissement, and commune in the Borgou Department of central Benin. The commune covers an area of 2289 square kilometres and as of 2013 had a population of 91,672 people.

Tchaourou is a commune, arrondissement, and city located in the Borgou Department of Benin, a country in Western Africa, formerly known as Dahomey. It is the birthplace of former Beninese president Yayi Boni. It is 50 kilometres (31 mi) south of Parakou.

Tchatchou is a town and arrondissement located in the commune of Tchaourou in the Borgou Department of Benin.

Toucountouna is a town, arrondissement and commune in the Atakora Department of north-western Benin. The commune covers an area of 1600 square kilometres and as of 2013 had a population of 39,779 people.
