The population at the 2011 census was 2,965. The municipal unit consists of the villages Armen, Karbunarë, Rromës, Treblovë, Lubonjë, Picar and Mesarak. The placename refers to the historical presence of Aromanians, as does nearby Vllahine as well as Llakatund near Vlore.

Dhrovjan is a community in the Vlorë County, southern Albania. At the 2015 local government reform it became part of the municipality Finiq. It is located 18 kilometers (11 mi) east of Sarandë. An ethnic Greek village, in 1967 it contained around 300 houses, divided into two Mahalle. Ancient Greek coins have been excavated in the fields of Dhrovjan, which have provided evidence that there were once several ancient Greek temples in the area. Dhrovjan is the burial place of Harold 'Bill' Sykes, a British bi-plane pilot shot down in November 1940.

Maja e Papingut is a peak of the Nemërçkë mountain ridge located in the south of Albania, near the Vjosë river. Maja e Papingut is the highest point of Nemerçkë and the highest unshared peak in southern Albania at 2,482 m (8,143 ft) high. In the 2011 Albanian census, Selenica was the only commune where the number of declared Aromanians outnumbered the number of declared ethnic Albanians.
