
The Stockholm urban area is the largest and most populous of the statistical localities or urban areas in Sweden. It has no administrative function of its own, but constitutes a continuous built-up area, which extends into 11 municipalities in Stockholm County. It contains the municipal seats of 10 of those. As of 31 December 2019, the population in the Stockholm urban area was 1,593,426 inhabitants, the area 381.63 km2 (147.35 sq mi), and the population density 4,175 inhabitants/km2. Stockholm urban area is not the same as Metropolitan Stockholm, which is a much larger area.

Djursholm is one of four suburban districts in, and the seat of Danderyd Municipality, Stockholm County, Sweden. Djursholm is included in the multi-municipal Stockholm urban area. Djursholm is divided into a number of different areas: Djursholms Ekeby (northwest), Svalnäs (northeast), Ösby (central), Berga (southwest) and Gamla Djursholm.

Djursholms Sveavägen used to be a railway stop at Djursholmsbanan, a part of Roslagsbanan which was discontinued in 1976. The station was situated at Sveavägen in Djursholm. The place name was added to the street name to avoid confusion with Sveavägen in Stockholm.

Edsberg is an urban district in Sollentuna Municipality, Stockholm County, Sweden. It is located at the bottom of the Edsviken Bay, which forms a long inlet all the way from the Baltic Sea. It forms part of Stockholm. In daily use Edsberg means the area with multifamily houses spread around Edsbergs centrum and Edsbergskyrkan north of Danderydsvägen. The municipality part called Edsberg also contains Landsnora, an area of villas to the south of Danderydsvägen and the east of Edsbergsparken. A bit further on to the south of Danderydsvägen is the new area called Kvarnskogen with a mixed set of house types. Also contained in Edsberg is Edsängen between Edsberg and Frestavägen, and the summer house areas a bit further north called Södersättra and Norrsättra. Plans to develop the area to the east of Frestavägen are in the making.

Ekerö Municipality is a municipality in the province of Uppland in Stockholm County in east central Sweden. The name derives from the name of the main island within the municipality whose name is Ekerön, and literally means "Oak Island". Its seat is located in the town of Ekerö.

Råsunda can be reached by the Näckrosen metro station, Solna centrum metro and light rail station, the commuter train and light rail Solna station and the major road Frösundaleden. The district neighbours Storskogen and Central Sundbyberg to the west, Skytteholm to the south, Hagalund to the east and Järva the north. The lake Råstasjön is located to the north.

The largest employer is the commercial centre in Länna.

Solna centrum is a metro station and shopping mall in Solna Municipality, approximately 5 km from central Stockholm, Sweden. It is close to the Friends Arena and opened on 31 August 1975 as part the first stretch of the Blue Line between T-Centralen and Hjulsta. The mall contains around 120 stores and restaurants, 40 offices and 214 apartments.

Solna Municipality is a municipality in Stockholm County in Sweden, located just north of the Stockholm City Centre. Its seat is located in the town of Solna, which is a part of the Stockholm urban area.

Tumba is a bimunicipal locality and the seat of Botkyrka Municipality in Stockholm County, Sweden with 37,852 inhabitants in 2010. A part of its statistical urban area, called Rönninge, is in Salem Municipality. The population is 35,311 (2005). The Swedish krona banknotes are printed by Crane AB at Tumba Bruk, in Tumba. Tumba is situated half-way between Stockholm and Södertälje and is considered a Stockholm suburb. In Tumba and Rönninge there are stations on the Stockholm commuter rail network.
Tureberg is a neighbourhood in Sollentuna Municipality, Stockholm County, Sweden with 18,866 inhabitants (2018). It is a Stockholm suburb and houses the seat of local government for the municipality as well as a large shopping mall and a Stockholm commuter rail station.
