The 2011 census recorded 280 inhabitants. It is notable as the birthplace of the Manakis brothers, and appears in the opening sequence of the film Ulysses' Gaze. Gramos is a remote mountain village and a former community in Kastoria regional unit, West Macedonia, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Nestorio, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 59.422 km2. Population 18 (2011). The village is a traditional Aromanian (Vlach) settlement, named after the nearby Gramos mountains to its south. It lies very close to the Albanian border. Throughout the centuries, the locals had suffered from Albanian Muslim raiders. The source of the river Aliakmonas is near Gramos. It had the smallest population of any municipality or community in Greece at 28 inhabitants in the 2001 Greek census. It was also the least densely populated community or municipality in Greece, at 0.47 inhabitants/km2. A small road connects Gramos with Nestorio, 20 km to its east.

Grevena is a town and municipality in Western Macedonia, Northern Greece, capital of the Grevena regional unit. The town's current population is 13,374 citizens (2011). It lies about 400 kilometres from Athens and about 180 km from Thessaloniki. The municipality's population is 25,905. Grevena has had access to the Egnatia Odos since the early 2000s, which now connects Igoumenitsa with Thessaloniki and Alexandroupoli at the border with Turkey. Mountains surround the municipality, which is situated by the river Greveniotikos, which itself flows into the Aliakmon. Other significant towns in the municipality are Amygdaliés and Méga Seiríni. Grevena Municipal Museum is located in the town.

The community of Greveniti covers an area of 37.077 km2. Greveniti is a traditional Aromanian (Vlach) settlement.

Iliochori is one of the Zagori villages in northwest Greece. It is located in the municipal unit of Tymfi in the northern part of the regional unit of Ioannina. According to a local legend, the village was founded as Rasciana, on the river of the same name. However, that site was abandoned because of a lack of drinking water, and the inhabitants scattered to found Iliochori and the nearby town of Laista. Iliochori was traditionally an agricultural village, with husbandry and cultivation of barley and vetch being among its primary areas of economic activity. Viticulture was also prominent, and the village produced a wine, Dobrovino, that gave it its original name. Caravans leaving from Iliochori carried products from the region to the Balkans for trade. The town suffered severe damage in both World War II and the Greek Civil War and lost a large portion of its population during the 1940s as a result.

Kalabaka is a town and seat of the Municipality of Meteora in the Trikala regional unit, part of Thessaly in Greece. The population was 21,991 at the 2011 census, of which 8,330 in the town proper. The village is protected by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture in order to preserve its architectural integrity.

Here live an important community of Aromanians (Vlachs).

Vlasti is a village and a community of the Eordaia municipality. Before the 2011 local government reform it was an independent community. The 2011 census recorded 274 inhabitants in the village. The community of Vlasti covers an area of 72.089 km2.
