
Dreiseenplatte is the name of three lakes in Feldmoching-Hasenbergl in the northern part of Munich, Germany.

The Eisbach is a small, 2-kilometre-long (1.2 mi), man-made river in Munich. It flows through the park known as the Englischer Garten, and is a side arm of the Isar River. A man-made wave has been created on one section, which is popular among river surfers.

The Munich gravel plain is an Outwash plain in Upper Bavaria, Germany, formed during Late Pleistocene glacial periods. Characterized by its very wide extension, it comprises sandur terraces and the floodplain of the Isar river. These most recent deposits overlie the Neogene Molasse basin of the Alpine Foreland, which in contrast comprises fine-grained fluviatile and lacustrine facies.

The Munich Metropolitan Region is one of eleven metropolitan regions in Germany, consisting of the agglomeration areas of Munich, Augsburg, Ingolstadt, Landshut, Rosenheim and Landsberg am Lech. Nockherberg is the name of a small terrace on the slope of the eastern bank of the Isar in Munich, situated in the urban district of Au. An annual beer festival rich in tradition takes place there in the Paulaner Brewery - the Salvator-Ausschank auf dem Nockherberg The name of the raised terrace is often used synonymously for this festival or its opening event, the tapping of the first barrel of a strong, seasonal beer (Starkbieranstich).

Prater Island (Praterinsel) is one of the two islands in the Isar in Munich. The other is Museum Island.

The Virginia depot was a military camp used last by the Bundeswehr west of Schleißheimer Straße in the Munich district of Lerchenau. Today it is a biotope with rare plant species.
