
Beskydy Protected Landscape Area (PLA) is the largest PLA in the Czech Republic. The area is 1,160 km2 (448 sq mi). It lies in the south-eastern part of the Moravian Silesian and eastern part of Zlín regions, on the border with Slovakia. All its area belongs to the Outer Western Carpathians and comprises most of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids Range, a large part of the Vsetínské vrchy Range, and the Moravian part of the Javorníky Range. In Slovakia, Kysuce Protected Landscape Area borders the area.
Czech Silesia is the name given to the part of the historical region of Silesia located in the present-day Czech Republic. While not today an administrative entity in itself, Czech Silesia is, together with Bohemia and Moravia, one of the three historical Czech lands. In this context, it is often mentioned simply as "Silesia", even though it is only around one tenth of the area of the historic land of Silesia.

Hanušovická vrchovina is a highland area, part of Eastern Sudetes mountain range that runs between Poland and the Czech Republic. It is named after Hanušovice town in the latter nation. The area is 793 km² and its average elevation is 527.2 meters. The highest peak is Jeřáb. The highlands mostly consists of crystallized slate and Paleozoic folded sediments with Neogene and Quaternary sediments in lower parts. Isolated rocks often occur on highland peaks.

Hostýnsko-vsetínská hornatina is a mountain range in the Czech Republic.

Hrubý Jeseník is a mountain range of Eastern Sudetes in northern Moravia and Czech Silesia. It is the second highest mountain range in the Czech Republic.

The Moravian Gate is a geomorphological feature in the Moravian region of the Czech Republic. It is formed by the depression between the Carpathian Mountains in the east and the Sudetes in the west. The drainage divide between the upper Oder river and the Baltic Sea in the north and the Bečva River of the Danube basin runs through it.

The Moravian–Silesian Beskids is a mountain range in the Czech Republic with a small part reaching to Slovakia. It lies on the historical division between Moravia and Silesia, hence the name. It is part of the Western Beskids, which is in turn part of the Outer Western Carpathians.

Moravian-Silesian Foothills are foothills located in eastern Czech Republic, in regions of Moravia and Czech Silesia. They represent the westernmost section of the West Beskidian Foothills.

Smrk is a massif and a mountain in the Moravian-Silesian Beskids range in the Czech Republic. With a height of 1,276 m (4,186 ft) it is the second highest summit of the range after Lysá hora. Its Northern slope steeply rises from the surrounding lowlands and is separated from the rest of the mountains by the deep Ostravice River and Čeladenka river valleys; in the South it merges in the lower Zadní hory area.
