WThe American Catholic Philosophical Quarterly is a peer-reviewed academic journal sponsored by the American Catholic Philosophical Association. It was founded in 1927 as The New Scholasticism and adopted its current title in 1990. The journal publishes articles and book reviews covering the entire range and history of Western philosophical thought. Contributions on non-Western philosophy are also published, especially if they shed light upon issues in the Western tradition. The journal is not committed to any particular school of philosophy and contributions variously employ analytical, phenomenological, Thomistic, historical, and other methods. Nevertheless, it typically prefers contributions on topics or thinkers that are of special interest to Catholic thought. Thus, almost every issue usually carries at least one article on Thomas Aquinas. Pieces on medieval thought are well represented as well, as are essays in the philosophy of religion and philosophical theology.
WThe Catholic Biblical Quarterly is a refereed peer-reviewed theology journal published by the Catholic Biblical Association of America (CBA) (CBA) in January, April, July, and October. It was established in 1939 and its circulation in 2010 was over 3,800.
WThe Catholic Historical Review (CHR) is the official organ of the American Catholic Historical Association. It was established at The Catholic University of America in 1915 by Thomas Joseph Shahan and Peter Guilday and is published quarterly by The Catholic University of America Press. The first issue contained a foreword by Cardinal James Gibbons who wrote of the journal that "I bespeak for it a generous welcome by the thoughtful men and women of the country, and bestow my blessing on the unselfish, zealous labors of the devoted Faculty of the Catholic University." Nelson Minnich is the editor.
WCommunio is a federation of theological journals, founded in 1972 by Joseph Ratzinger, Hans Urs von Balthasar, Henri de Lubac, Walter Kasper, Marc Ouellet, Louis Bouyer, and others. Communio, now published in fifteen editions, has become one of the most important journals of Catholic thought. The journals are independently edited, but also publish translations of each other's articles.
WEphemerides Theologicae Lovanienses is a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal covering theology and canon law. It was established in 1924 and is published by Peeters. It publishes articles, notes and comments, and reviews in English, French, and German. The journal is abstracted and indexed in the ATLA Religion Database and Scopus.
WHorizons: The Journal of the College Theology Society is a biannual peer-reviewed academic journal established in 1974 and published by Cambridge University Press on behalf of the College Theology Society. The Journal is based at Villanova University. While rooted in the Catholic tradition of "faith seeking understanding", the journal covers a range of topics in theology and religious studies, including Catholic theology, as well as Christianity and religious experience more generally. The editor-in-chief is Elena Procario-Foley, and associate editors are Gerald Beyer and Christopher Denny.
WLogos: A Journal of Catholic Thought and Culture is a quarterly academic journal of religious studies from a Catholic perspective. The journal was established in 1997 and is published by the University of St. Thomas Center for Catholic Studies. The editor-in-chief is David P. Deavel.
WThe Lonergan Review is a peer reviewed academic journal dedicated to the exploration of the thought and legacy of Bernard Lonergan (1904–1984). The purpose of the journal is to promote continuing interest in the field of Lonergan studies. It was established in 2009 as the official journal of the Bernard J. WNewman Studies Journal Founded in 2004 by the National Institute for Newman Studies, the Newman Studies Journal (NSJ) is an interdisciplinary research publication dedicated to the life, work, and thought of John Henry Newman and their continuing significance. The NSJ welcomes submissions that explore Newman’s life and works, his predecessors, contemporaries and successors, his reception throughout history, and his influence today. It also features studies that situate or adopt Newman’s approach within current scholarly or critical debate on a wide variety of topics. Additionally, the NSJ includes reviews of Newman-related publications. Newman Studies Journal is a peer-reviewed publication under the supervision of the editors with assistance from an editorial board, composed of noted Newman scholars. Under the auspices of the Catholic University of America Press, the National Institute for Newman Studies holds the copyright for the Newman Studies Journal.
WPhilosophy and Theology is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes articles and reviews exploring connections between philosophy and theology. It was established in 1986 by Andrew Tallon at Marquette University and is the journal of the Karl Rahner Society. One issue of each volume is dedicated to Rahner's thought. Since 1997 the journal has been published on behalf of Marquette University by the Philosophy Documentation Center. All issues are available in electronic format.

Its focus is on the later scholastics of the Renaissance and Baroque periods and the relation of their ideas to modern, especially analytic philosophy.

WThought: Fordham University Quarterly was a peer-reviewed academic journal that published articles and reviews on a broad range of topics in the Catholic tradition. The journal was established in 1926 at the America Press and moved to Fordham University in 1939, with the first Fordham edition of the journal appearing in March 1940. It continued to be published at Fordham until 1992. The journal's first editor was Francis X. Talbot. During this time the journal published a total of 267 issues containing over 5,000 English-language contributions from well-known philosophers, theologians, social activists, and intellectuals in several countries. The entire collection is available online from the Philosophy Documentation Center.
WThe Zeitschrift für katholische Theologie was a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal established in 1877 at the Faculty of Theology at the University of Innsbruck. It was associated with the Society of Jesus. The journal published its last independent issue in 2020. With the beginning of 2021 the journal merged with the journal Theologie und Philosophie to form the Zeitschrift für Theologie und Philosophie.
