
Orders, decorations and medals are distinctive symbols awarded to citizens and foreign dignitaries in Albania.

The "Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu" Decoration is a high honorary state decoration that is currently awarded to Albanian and foreign citizens in Albania, that have made an important contribution to the defence, reinforcement and development of the Republic of Albania.

The "Mother Teresa" Decoration is an honorary decoration of the Republic of Albania given to Albanian and foreign citizens for outstanding acts of humanity towards the Albanian nation and the world. The decoration is given by the President of Albania. The proposer could be the President or institutions of authority. The Mother Theresa award is considered the highest award in Albania.

The Golden Decoration of the Eagle is an honorary decoration of the Republic of Albania given to Albanian and foreign citizens for bravery in armed war and for activities or acts of civic courage in peacetime. The decoration is awarded by decree of the President of the Republic. This order is golden.

The "Honour of the Nation" Decoration is the highest decoration to be given in Albania, among the Civil awards and decorations of Albania, and was instituted by special law No. 8113, of 28 March 1996, entitled Për dekoratat në Republikën e Shqipërisë, later amended by law No. 112/2013 Për dekoratat, titujt e nderit, medaljet dhe titujt vendorë të nderit në Republikën e Shqipërisë.

The National Flag Decoration Albanian: Dekorata e Flamurit Kombëtar, is one of the highest decorations to be given in Albania, among the Civil awards and decorations of Albania, and was instituted by special law Nr.8113, of 28 March 1996.

The Champion Medal was an Albanian award given to athletes in individual competitions or teams, who earned first place in a national championship, in the People's Socialist Republic of Albania.

The Medal of Remembrance was an honorary award given to the people and army formations in the People's Socialist Republic of Albania.

The Medal of Gratitude is a medal awarded by the President of Albania.

The Order and Medal of Bravery were honorary awards given to the citizens, families and military units in the People's Socialist Republic of Albania.

The Order of Fidelity, also known as the Order of Besa, was established by Ahmet Zogu when he was President of Albania. Founded on 22 December 1926, it was initially awarded in four classes and a medal. It was limited to six ordinary recipients of Albanian nationality, and not awardable to foreigners.

The Order of Skanderbeg was originally instituted in 1925 as an order of merit of the Albanian Republic. It was replaced by the Communist government in 1945 with a new award of the same name. Skanderbeg is the national hero of the Albanian people.

The Order of the Black Eagle was the highest title that could be bestowed on a citizen of the Principality of Albania. The order was established by Prince Wied in 1914 on the example of the Prussian Order of the Black Eagle. The order had a black eagle and around the words Besë e Bashkim.

The Order of the Flag was an honorary award given to citizens, collectives, factories, administrative divisions, institutions and organizations in the People's Socialist Republic of Albania.

The Order of the Red Star was an award of the People's Socialist Republic of Albania. It was awarded to officers, non-commissioned officers, pupils and students of military schools, soldiers, and reservists of the Albanian People's Army, as well as police officers, the Voluntary Forces of Popular Self-Defense, and armed school youth. It was awarded for good leadership in time of war and for very good achievements in the war against enemies of the people in peacetime.
