Juan Baptista Benlloch i Vivó was a Spanish Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church who served as Archbishop of Burgos from 1919, who was elevated to the cardinalate in 1921, and who, as Co-Prince of Andorra, composed the text for this country’s national anthem.

Josep Caixal i Estradé (1803–1879) was Bishop of Urgell from 1853 until his death in Rome in 1879 and co-prince of Andorra during the New Reform period.

Salvador Casañas y Pagés was a Spanish cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as Bishop of Barcelona from 1901 until his death, and was elevated to the cardinalate in 1895.

Ramón Iglesias i Navarri was a Spanish Roman Catholic bishop. He was the Bishop of Urgell and Episcopal Co-Prince of Andorra from 4 April 1943, until 29 April 1969. During World War II, he helped to keep Andorra neutral and strongly promoted a Spanish influence in the principality. It is during his time that tourism was developed. Navarri was ordained priest on 14 July 1912, at the age of 23.

Justus of Urgell was a Spanish bishop and saint. He is the first recorded bishop of Urgell, and is thought to have participated in some of the Councils of Toledo, and the councils of Lleida, and Valencia. He is mentioned by Isidore of Seville, who considered him one of the “illustrious men" of whom he wrote the lives. According to one tradition, Justus had three brothers who were also saints: Nebridius, bishop of Egara and then bishop of Barcelona; Elpidius; and Justinian.

Joan Josep Laguarda i Fenollera was Bishop of Urgel and ex officio Co-Prince of Andorra from 1902 to 1906. He was also Bishop of Barcelona from 29 April 1909 – 4 December 1913.

Ramón Malla i Call was Bishop of Lleida. From 1969 until 1971 he was Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Urgell during a sede vacante and therefore acting Episcopal Co-Prince of Andorra. He was born in La Seu d'Urgell, Catalonia. He was ordained as priest on 16 December 1948, in Salamanca. On 24 July 1968 he was consecrated bishop of Lleida. On 19 December 1999 he became Emeritus Bishop.

Ot of Urgell was a bishop of Urgell, noted for his care for the poor. He was from the family of the counts of Pallars Sobirà. He is buried in the monastery of Santa Maria de Gerri. In 1133 his successor declared him to be a saint, and he is venerated as such today. Ot is one of the patron saints of the town of La Seu d'Urgell. His feast day is July 7.

Posidonius was the bishop of Urgell in northern Spain between 814 and 823. He may have become bishop as early 803, the last year when Archbishop Leidrad was still clearly in control of the diocese following the ouster of Bishop Felix for heresy.
