Belladonna of Sadness is a 1973 Japanese adult animated art film produced by the animation studio Mushi Production and distributed by Nippon Herald Films. It is the third and final entry in Mushi Production's adult-oriented Animerama trilogy, following A Thousand and One Nights (1969) and Cleopatra (1970).

Comet in Moominland is an Japanese-Finnish-Dutch anime film by Telecable Benelux B.V.. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Finnish illustrator and writer Tove Jansson, originally published in Swedish. It was the first full-length Moomin film. It was released in Japan first theatrically on August 8, 1992 as a triple-feature with two unrelated shorter films and later released on video with 10 minutes of extra footage. The film has been dubbed to several European languages. It was the seventh most watched film in Finland in the season 1992/1993 with 166,738 viewers.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train , also known as Demon Slayer: Mugen Train or Demon Slayer: Infinity Train, is a 2020 Japanese animated dark fantasy action film based on the shōnen manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba by Koyoharu Gotouge. The film, which is a direct sequel to the first season of the anime series, was directed by Haruo Sotozaki and written by Ufotable staff members. The film was produced by Ufotable in association with Aniplex and Shueisha.

Goodbye, Don Glees! is an upcoming Japanese anime film produced by Madhouse and directed by Atsuko Ishizuka. It will be released in Japan in February 2022.

Jack and the Witch is a Japanese animated fantasy adventure feature film, the 10th cinema feature produced by Tōei Animation, released in Japan in 1967. It was developed by Jirō Sekimasa, Seiichi Moro and Takeshi Ariga, written by Shin'ichi Sekizawa and Susumu Takaku and directed by Taiji Yabushita and has an essentially original story, though one which alludes in structure and character names to the Jack tales and Beowulf, both of English folklore. A working title for the film was Fushigina Sekai no Daibōken . The animation director is Akira Daikuhara.

Lupin III: The First is a 2019 Japanese 3D CGI-animated comedy action-adventure heist film based on the Lupin the Third franchise created by Monkey Punch, to whom the film is dedicated. Written and directed by Takashi Yamazaki, it was animated by Marza Animation Planet and TMS Entertainment, and is the first 3DCG installment in the franchise. The film stars Kanichi Kurita as Lupin III, Kiyoshi Kobayashi as gunman Daisuke Jigen, Daisuke Namikawa as samurai Goemon Ishikawa XIII, Miyuki Sawashiro as Fujiko Mine, and Kōichi Yamadera as Interpol detective Zenigata.

My Neighbor Totoro is a 1988 Japanese animated fantasy film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki and animated by Studio Ghibli for Tokuma Shoten. Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop is a Japanese animated slice-of-life romantic comedy-drama film produced by Sublimation and Signal.MD and directed by Kyōhei Ishiguro. It premiered at the 2020 Shanghai International Film Festival. It was released to Japanese theaters on July 22, 2021, and on Netflix the same day internationally. Set in a rural part of Japan with a large shopping mall, the film follows two people who have trouble communicating with others. Yui "Cherry" Sakura is a shy boy who can only speak through his writing of haikus. Yuki aka "Smile", covers her mouth with a mask to hide her braces that try to fix her buckteeth birth defect and is an online influencer. A fateful meeting at the mall starts a romance between them.
