WAn auto show, also known as a motor show or car show, is a public exhibition of current automobile models, debuts, concept cars, or out-of-production classics. It is attended by automotive industry representatives, dealers, auto journalists and car enthusiasts. Most auto shows occur once or twice a year. They are important to car manufacturers and local dealers as a public relations exercise, as they advertise new products and promote auto brands. The five most prestigious auto shows, sometimes called the "Big Five", are generally considered to be held in Frankfurt, Geneva, Detroit, Paris and Tokyo. Car enthusiast communities along the historic U.S. Route 66 are credited with general popularization of car meets, including ethnic groups such as the Hispanos of New Mexico, Chicanos, and Mexican-Americans of the Southwestern United States; lowrider, high technology, electric vehicle, and other enthusiast show, are popular in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Albuquerque, San Francisco, and Chicago for this reason.
WThe Amsterdam International Motor Show or AutoRAI was a motor show that took place every two years in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The history of the AutoRAI goes back to 1893, when the bicycle exhibition was established. The first RAI exhibition was organised there in 1895.

WDriven To Perform (DTP) is an auto show billed as Western Canada's largest and most established automotive lifestyles tour and originally featured mainly import tuner sport compact cars. The inaugural show was held in Vancouver, BC in 2002 as Import Showoff Canada, but has since changed its name and expanded to include other vehicle types and into the other large metropolitan cities in this region of Canada. Major sponsors include Toyo Tires, Future Shop, Mobil1, Honda, Mazda, Lordco and Visions Electronics.
WEcoVelocity was an annual motor show in London that focusses on electric and low-carbon cars. The first show in 2011 was launched at Battersea Power Station, and the 2012 show was located at the ExCel exhibition centre. It was renamed Future Drive Motor Show for 2013, but this was subsequently cancelled.

LCV is a business-to-business free-to-attend event organised by Cenex and whose main aim is promoting the UK supply chain of the low carbon vehicle industry.

The initiative was started in 2011 from Lahore. and since then PakWheels has been organizing these shows in different cities of Pakistan in an effort to create awareness about the automobile industry and encourage automotive culture in the country.
WQatar Motor Show is an annual international motor show held in Doha, Qatar. It is held each January at the Doha Exhibitions Centre. The debut motor show was in 2011 which had 90,000 attendees. The 2012 show grew to 120,000 visitors from around the Persian Gulf region. It features new models as well as supercars, concept cars, custom cars from style centers and automotive designers. Outdoor demonstrations of motocross and drifting are featured as well as test driving.
WExpoCité is a multi-site entertainment complex located in the borough of La Cité-Limoilou, in downtown Quebec City. This is also the name of the corporation authorized by the City of Quebec to administer the site. ExpoCité was best known for Expo Québec an annual 12-day exhibition held in August but folded in 2016. The Salon de l'Auto de Québec is held there each March.

Summernats, which is usually held at the start of the year, is the best known specialist car enthusiast festival in Australia, and an event which attracts many tourists to Canberra, bringing in excess of $20 million in economic benefit to the ACT economy. WTop Gear Live was a supercar motor show. It was held annually at Earls Court beginning in 2003, later expanding to be also held at the Birmingham NEC from 2005 with the two shows being around one week apart. The show took up either one or two halls at both venues, and there were usually two parts to it: the Exhibition and the Main Show. From 2011 the show was rebranded and relaunched as "Top Gear Live", tying together its close links to the Top Gear television series and with a venue change to ExCeL London. Top Gear Live was later expanded, being used by BBC Worldwide as a brand of touring stadium show.
