Since its founding, Achievement Hunter has grown to become a core component of Rooster Teeth, hosting a wide variety of videos related to video games. Achievement Hunter videos are currently hosted by eight main members: Jack Pattillo, Gavin Free, Michael Jones, Lindsay Jones, Jeremy Dooley, Matt Bragg, Trevor Collins, and Alfredo Diaz.

In January 2010, one month after acquiring gamerDNA, the editorial staff was laid off by the authority of the board of directors, with the company's CEO resigning in protest. The website continued to operate, with gamerDNA being acquired by Live Gamer in 2011. It was stated in 2012 that the website became defunct.

GamePro was an American multiplatform video game magazine media company that published online and print content covering the video game industry, video game hardware and video game software. The magazine featured content on various video game consoles, PC computers and mobile devices. GamePro Media properties included GamePro magazine and their website. The company was also a part subsidiary of the privately held International Data Group (IDG), a media, events and research technology group.

GameShadow was a gaming community website and an advertising-supported software utility that kept PC gamers up-to-date with patches, game demos, trailers, mods and other content for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 games. GameShadow identifies the product version of supported games installed on a user's PC, then compares them to its database to locate updates for those games. It is one of the largest gaming modification websites on the web, and, as of February 2021, had twenty-five million registered members. Founded in 2001 as a fan site, Nexus Mods was modified into the website TESSsource in 2007. The Nexus Mods network supported 1445 games as of October 2021, with a single forum and a wiki for site and mod-related topics. Recently, the Nexus Mods site expanded to serve as a host for mod files for any modifiable PC game. The website's hosting and publication of various mods has been covered in the gaming and computer press.

Nookazon is a fan-made website that allows players of the 2020 video game Animal Crossing: New Horizons to trade and sell items in-game using their services. The website is named after Amazon although it more closely resembles Craigslist and eBay.

The PCGamingWiki is a collaboratively edited, free Internet encyclopedia focused on collecting game behavior data to optimizing gameplay and fixing issues found in PC video games. Intended fixes and optimizations range from simple cutscene removals to modifications that allow for wide-screen resolutions and more. The wiki runs on MediaWiki software and was created by Andrew Tsai. The site was founded on February 9, 2012. As of April 2019, the PCGamingWiki has more than 20,000 registered users and 35,000 content pages. Since its inception, the PCGamingWiki has been featured on numerous gaming focused websites including Kotaku, Destructoid, and Rock Paper Shotgun. It regularly receives more than 10,000 unique page views a day.

Pocket Gamer is a video game website that focuses on mobile, portable and handheld games. The site launched in 16 November 2005 and is published and owned by UK company Steel Media Ltd. The site covers all major portable and mobile gaming formats, including iPhone, iPad, Android, Nintendo Switch and others. It was one of the first to cover the iPhone gaming market. The publication also hands out awards for handheld games to recognize them in several categories. The British newspaper The Guardian at one time syndicated a list of recommended mobile games from Pocket Gamer, especially the list of recommended games for each month. In the years since launch, Steel Media Ltd has created many brand spin-offs, including the industry-facing PocketGamer.biz site and a series of conferences called Pocket Gamer Connects.

QQ Games is a casual games client, offering only multi-player online games. Games are available through the QQ Games client and are entirely free to play. Team Coast was an American esports organization and League of Legends website. It was originally formed under the name Good Game University on January 4, 2013 by the former roster of Team Dynamic following their departure from the parent organization. They named themselves Good Game University before changing their name to Team Coast on June 1, 2013. Their first offline tournament was the League of Legends Season 3 North American qualifiers where they qualified for a spot in the Season 3 League of Legends Championship Series (LCS).

TrueAchievements is a website that tracks player's achievements and Gamerscore for games and applications for the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Windows Phone, Games for Windows - Live, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 and Windows 11 platforms. It is published by TrueGaming Network, which also publishes the TrueSteamAchievements and TrueTrophies sister websites, catering respectively to Valve's PC platform, Steam, and Sony's PlayStation. TrueAchievements uses a method of assessment titled "TrueAchievement" score, in addition to Xbox network Gamerscore. The site is a member of the Xbox Community Developer Program, and as of July 2019, TrueAchievements has over 400,000 registered users including the two highest-scoring Xbox players. In 2014, the TrueAchievements Xbox One application was made available to allow users to access several of the site's features directly on their consoles.

The IGN website was the brainchild of media entrepreneur Chris Anderson and launched on September 29, 1996. It focuses on games, films, television, comics, technology, and other media. Originally a network of desktop websites, IGN is now also distributed on mobile platforms, console programs on the Xbox and PlayStation, FireTV, Roku, and via YouTube, Twitch, Hulu, and Snapchat.

What They Play was a video game-centric website aimed at helping parents learn about content in video games, helping them decide what games their children should play. It was the first of several websites to launch under "What They Like, Inc.", other sites featuring books, movies and music followed.
