They were formed in October 2009 when they posted a video of themselves dancing to a Vocaloid song on the Nico Nico Community Group. On July 26, 2014, DANCEROID disbanded as per the wishes of the current members. This was announced on the front page of their official website, as the contracts for all the members will lapse on this date.

Dengeki Hime (電撃姫) was a Japanese magazine published monthly by ASCII Media Works publishing information mainly on adult visual novels. The magazine started as a special issue of the now discontinued Dengeki Oh in 1997, and in 2001 it became its own entity. Originally, it held information on boys love series but eventually shifted to adult visual novels when Dengeki Girl's Style began hosting the former content. Its sister magazine is Dengeki G's Magazine which publishes similar information of visual novels. Starting in the April 2007 issue, the title of the magazine was written in all capitals.

It also had candid photos of ganguro girls on the streets of Japan, similar to Fruits magazine. Egg had its own models which starred in every magazine. Due to the decline of Gyaru popularity, the magazine shut down with the last issue on 31 May 2014.

The marathon relay race, or ekiden as it is known in Japan, is one of the prominent annual races of its kind. The competition is split into six legs which combine to make up the marathon distance of 42.195 km. The Chiba Ekiden was first held in 1988 and featured separate competitions for both men and women. Since 2007, each competing country selects three men and three women for their team. The legs are divided as follows: 5 km (men), 5 km (women), 10 km (men), 5 km (women), 10 km (men), and 7.195 km (women).

The manga series are published in tankōbon under the Blade Comics imprint.

Monthly Ikki was a monthly seinen manga magazine published by Shogakukan. It tended to specialize in underground or alternative manga, but it had its share of major hits as well. The magazine started in 2000 as a spin-off of Shogakukan's Weekly Big Comic Spirits, titled Spirits Zōkan Ikki, published on a bimonthly basis, and became a standalone monthly magazine in 2003. In 2009, Viz Media launched an online English version of Monthly Ikki, named SigIkki, which serialized selected titles from the magazine. Ikki ceased publication after an almost fourteen-year-run in 2014, and was replaced by Hibana, which ran from 2015 to 2017, before ceasing its publication as well.
