
Shigeyuki Dejima is a Japanese speed skater. He competed in two events at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Seiko Hashimoto is a Japanese politician, former speed skater and track cyclist. She has the most Olympic appearances of any Japanese athlete except Noriaki Kasai, representing her native country in four consecutive Winter Olympics from 1984 to 1994 and in three consecutive Summer Olympics from 1988 to 1996. She is currently a member of the House of Councillors from the Liberal Democratic Party, and serves as the President of the Japan Skating Federation.

Takayuki Hida is a retired Japanese speed skater. He competed at the 1968 and 1972 Winter Olympics in the 500 m events and finished in 37th and 13th place, respectively. His best achievement in the world sprint championships was fourth place in 1971.

Hiroki Hirako is a Japanese speed skater. He has competed for Japan at the 2010 Winter Olympics. He has also previously competed in the 2002 Winter Olympics. He won gold medal in the 2007 Asian Winter Games.

Manabu Horii is a Japanese politician and former speed skater. He won an Olympic bronze medal in 1994, and also competed in the 1998 and 2002 Olympics. He ended his speed skating career in 2002.

Masako Hozumi is a Japanese speed skater from Hokkaido. In 2009, she finished fourth overall at the 2009 Allround. She competed for Japan at the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics.
Shozo Ishihara was a Japanese speed skater who competed in the 1932 and 1936 Winter Olympics.
Eriko Ishino is a Japanese speed skater. She competed in four events at the 2006 Winter Olympics.

Joji Kato is a Japanese speedskater whose specialty is in the sprinting distance event of 500 metres. At the age of 17 he became the first junior speedskater to skate the 500 metres in less than 35 seconds.

Nao Kodaira is a Japanese long track speed skater who specialises in the sprint distances.
Akira Kuroiwa is a former speed skater from Japan, who represented his native country at two consecutive Winter Olympics, starting in 1984 in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia. In 1988, he won the bronze medal in the men's 500 metres, after having captured two world titles at the Sprints Championships. At the 1984 Winter Olympics, Kuroiwa finished 10th in the men's 500 m.

Keiichiro Nagashima is a Japanese long track speed skater specialising in the sprint distances 500 and 1000 metres. Nagashima has won two World Cup races and has three Japanese domestic titles. He is a member of the Nidec Sankyo speed skating team.

Makiko Nagaya is a Japanese speed skater. She competed at the 1976 Winter Olympics and the 1980 Winter Olympics.

Kunio Nando , was a Japanese speed skater. He competed at the 1936 Winter Olympics in the 500 m and 5000 m events and finished in 22nd and 31st place, respectively.

Yūya Oikawa is a Japanese speed skater. He competed in the 2006 and the 2010 Winter Olympics, and has qualified for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

Tomomi Okazaki is a Japanese speed skater who has competed in five Olympic Games. She won a bronze medal at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan. Okazaki was the oldest member of the Japanese team at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Sayuri Osuga is a Japanese speed skater and cyclist. She is one of the few athletes who started both in the Winter Games 2002 and 2006 and in the 2004 Summer Games. Until 2006, she was a member of the professional Sankyoseiki speedskating team. She placed first and third in the Speedskating World Cup. She holds the Japanese records in the 500 m speed skating and the 500 m time trial event. From 2006 to 2011, she was sponsored by the construction company Daiwa House Industries Co. Ltd. She retired in 2011.

Hiromi Ōtsu is a Japanese speed skater.

Jitsuko Saito is a retired Japanese speed skater. She competed at the 1968 Winter Olympics and finished in 26th and 20th place in 1500 m and 3000 m, respectively.

Sachiko Saito is a retired Japanese speed skater. She competed at the 1968 and 1972 Winter Olympics in the 500, 1000 and 1500 m events with the best achievement of ninth place in the 500 m in 1972. She badly fell on the same distance in 1968.
Hiroyasu Shimizu is a Japanese speed skater. He has an Olympic gold medal from 1998 in the 500 m, and held the 500 m record (34.32).

Shihomi Shinya is a Japanese speed skater. She competed in the women's 500 metres at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Kazuhiko Sugawara is a Japanese former speed skater who competed in the 1952 Winter Olympics. He finished seventh in the 10000 m and 15th in the 5000 m event.
Miyako Sumiyoshi was a Japanese speed skater. She competed at the 2013 World Sprint Championships in Salt Lake City, where she placed thirteenth. She also placed thirteenth in the sprint combination at the 2014 World Sprint Championships in Nagano. She competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, in the 500 metres (14th) and in the 1000 metres (22nd).

Keiichi Suzuki is a retired Japanese speed skater. He competed at the 1964, 1968 and 1972 Winter Olympics in the 500 m and 1500 m events with the best result of fifth place in the 500 m in 1964. He set two world records in the 500 m event in 1969–70.

Maki Tabata is a Japanese speed skater and track cyclist.
Kiyotaka Takabayashi is a Japanese former speed skater who competed in the 1952 Winter Olympics and in the 1956 Winter Olympics. He was born in Nagano Prefecture. In 1952 he finished sixth in the 500 metres competition and 34th in the 1500 metres event. Four years later he finished 30th in the 500 metres contest at the 1956 Games.

Nana Takagi is a Japanese speed skater who is a member of the Nidec Sankyo speed skating team.
Maki Tsuji is a Japanese speed skater. She competed at the 2011, 2013 and 2014 World Sprint Championships, and at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

Tomeju Uruma was a Japanese speed skater who competed in the 1932 Winter Olympics. He was eliminated in the heats of the 500 m, 1500 m, 5000 m, and 10000 m events.

Sayuri Yoshii is a Japanese speed skater. She won silver in the 1000 m and bronze in the 500 m during the 2008–09 World Cup season. She competed in the 2006 Winter Olympics and placed 5th in the 500 m of the 2010 Winter Olympics.
