WThe Equestrian Statue of Marcus Aurelius is an ancient Roman equestrian statue on the Capitoline Hill, Rome, Italy. It is made of bronze and stands 4.24 m tall. Although the emperor is mounted, it exhibits many similarities to standing statues of Augustus. The original is on display in the Capitoline Museums, with the one now standing in the open air of the Piazza del Campidoglio being a replica made in 1981 when the original was taken down for restoration.

WA God Strolling in the Cool of the Evening is a historical novel by the Portuguese writer Mario de Carvalho, set in the Roman province of Lusitania during the reign of Roman Emperor Commodus. First published in Portugal in Portuguese in 1994 as Um Deus Passeando Pela Brisa da Tarde, the novel won several awards, including the 1996 Pegasus Prize, and became a best-seller in Portugal.
WThe Great Antonine Altar is a high relief monument discovered in Ephesus dating to around 169 CE. The sculpture depicts The Antonines. Beginning on the far left, Marcus Aurelius is pictured at 17-years-old. Overlapping him, Antoninus Pius stands as a prideful, mature man, bearded, as his father, Hadrian, was known to be. To the right of Antoninus Pius stands Lucius Verus. To his right, we see Hadrian, who cloaks the image of a young woman, Faustina the Younger. She is the daughter of Antoninus Pius and the future wife of Marcus Aurelius. The sculpture is presently housed in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna.
WLast Words of the Emperor Marcus Aurelius is an 1844 painting by the French artist Eugène Delacroix, now in the Museum of Fine Arts of Lyon. A preliminary sketch of the painting that was given to Delacroix's student Louis de Planet is also kept in the museum.
