The episodes of the Japanese anime series Inuyasha: The Final Act are based on the last twenty-one volumes of the Inuyasha manga series by Rumiko Takahashi, continuing where the first adaptation left off. The series follows the half dog-demon, half human named Inuyasha, the fifteen-year-old junior high school student Kagome Higurashi and their close companions Miroku, Sango, Shippo and Kirara as they search for the last fragments of the Sacred Jewel of Four Souls and approach their final battle with Naraku. Viz Media licensed the series as InuYasha: The Final Act. The original staff and cast from the first Inuyasha anime adaptation were brought back together for the new series. The series premiered on Yomiuri TV on October 3, 2009, where it ran for twenty-six episodes, concluding on March 29, 2010. It is the first series to be produced and broadcast in 16:9 widescreen.

Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon is a Japanese anime television series produced by Sunrise and the anime sequel to Inuyasha. It was first announced in May 2020 and was directed by Teruo Sato with main character designs by Inuyasha original creator Rumiko Takahashi. Most of the main cast and staff have returned, with Katsuyuki Sumisawa in charge of the scripts, Yoshihito Hishinuma in charge of the anime character designs and Kaoru Wada composing the music. The sequel series is set after Inuyasha and his allies destroyed Naraku and the Shikon Jewel. The trio of family daughters began their journey keeping all Rainbow Pearls from villainous siblings. It aired from October 3, 2020 to March 20, 2021 on both Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV. The opening theme "New Era" is performed by the male idol group SixTONES, while the ending theme "Break" is performed by Uru. The second opening theme "Burn" is performed by NEWS, while the second ending theme "Kesshō" is performed by Ryokuōshoku Shakai.

Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon is a Japanese anime television series produced by Sunrise and is the anime spinoff sequel to Inuyasha: The Final Act. On March 20, 2021, a second season of the series was announced following the end of episode 24. The second season, titled Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon - The Second Act, premiered on October 2, 2021. From episodes1-13, the first opening theme is "ReBorn" performed by NEWS while the first ending theme is "Toumei na Sekai" performed by Little Glee Monster. From episodes 14 onward, the second opening theme is "Kyōmei" (Resonance) performed by SixTONES, while the second ending theme is "Anaaki no Sora" by Adieu.
